Abstract: Steering devices and methods for a vehicle are provided, where the method includes monitoring failure of an electric steering system, calculating a target yaw rate value and a target velocity value of the vehicle based on a signals received from one or more sensors, in response to detecting the failure in the electric steering system, detecting a wheel angle of a front wheel portion, performing backup steering based on generating slip in the vehicle to move the vehicle in a direction corresponding to an intended direction, and controlling a velocity of the vehicle to drive the vehicle based on an intended velocity, wherein the performing of the backup steering includes calculating a braking torque for each of the front wheel portion and a rear wheel portion based on the velocity and an steering angle, and distributing the braking torque to the front wheel portion and the rear wheel portion.

Abstract: The present invention discloses an encoding apparatus using a Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) scanning, which includes a mode selection means for selecting an optimal mode for intra prediction; an intra prediction means for performing intra prediction onto video inputted based on the mode selected in the mode selection means; a DCT and quantization means for performing DCT and quantization onto residual coefficients of a block outputted from the intra prediction means; and an entropy encoding means for performing entropy encoding onto DCT coefficients acquired from the DCT and quantization by using a scanning mode decided based on pixel similarity of the residual coefficients.

Abstract: An electronic apparatus and a manufacturing method thereof are provided. An upper case to protect an electronic circuit board is disposed on an upper part of a lower case to protect the electronic circuit board. A fastening member is passed through a hole formed at the upper case and fastened to a connection portion formed at the lower case. Accordingly, the upper case and the lower case are connected to each other. A cover is attached to an upper surface of the upper case to thereby cover the fastening member.

When a key is pressed, a key input signal and a key interrupt signal may be generated and transmitted to a control unit which may process the pressed input key. When the control unit receives the key interrupt signal, the control unit may identify an input key corresponding to the key input signal and process the identified input key.

The display apparatus includes a plurality of input terminals, and an output unit for displaying on a screen a graphic image corresponding to the arrangement of the plurality of input terminals. Graphic images corresponding to an arrangement of the plurality of input terminals provided in the display apparatus are displayed on a screen so that a user can easily determine a connection state of the external apparatus. A method for displaying a graphic image corresponding to an arrangement of the input terminals of a display apparatus is also provided.

Abstract: A multi video generation apparatus is provided to transmit partial videos to a multivision. The multi video generation apparatus generates partial videos from a video, and transmits the generated partial videos to displays connected thereto. In the multi video generation apparatus, the number of video transmission modules for transmitting the video to the connected display may be changed according to a content of a multi video to be displayed on the display. Therefore, it is possible to generate more diverse types of multi video which a user desires to display on a multivision.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for displaying a three dimensional (3D) video are provided. The apparatus includes a video processor which splits a 3D video signal into a left video signal and a right video signal, and a driver which displays the split left video signal and right video signal on some lines of a display. Accordingly, the 3D video may be displayed on a general display apparatus.
