  • Patent number: 11684738
Abstract: Systems and devices for monitoring, detecting, and removing fluid build-up found at various regions along a tracheal tube of an intubated patient. The fluid management system includes pressure and flow sensors for detecting whether there is fluid at the various regions along the tracheal tube, and a means for drawing out the fluid into collection jars. The system also includes lavage features that is able to rinse different the various regions along a tracheal tube. Also disclosed are respiration insertion devices that either couple to existing tracheal tubes or incorporate tracheal tubing, where the respiration insertion body has channels and ports that contact various regions along the tracheal tube. The combination of the fluid management system and the respiration insertion devices effectively monitor and remove fluid at various locations along a tracheal tube of an intubated patient.

  • Patent number: 10363019
Abstract: A biopsy needle, a biopsy needle assembly and methods to perform biopsy are disclosed. The biopsy needle includes a primary needle section formed as a hollow tube; a converging section accurately converging from a wall of the hollow tube of a first end of the primary needle section to form a piercing tip; a secondary needle section; and a body. The converging section of the biopsy needle further includes an opening on a lateral wall having a third cutting edge. The body of the biopsy needle is coupled to a second end of the primary needle section and may be coupled to an actuator to control a linear and a rotational movement of the biopsy needle.

  • Publication number: 20160081674
Abstract: The present subject matter relates to a biopsy needle assembly (102) for performing biopsy. In one implementation, the biopsy needle assembly (102) includes a biopsy needle (106) which further includes a primary needle section (202), formed as a hollow tube, where the primary needle section (202) comprises a first end and a second end; a converging section (204) arcuately converging from wall of the hollow tube of the first end of the primary needle section to form a piercing tip (108). The converging section (208) further includes an opening on lateral wall to form cutting edges to extract the tissue sample. The biopsy needle (106) also includes a body (208) coupled to the second end of the primary needle section (202), where wherein the body (208) may be adapted for coupling to an actuator to initiate a movement of biopsy needle (106).
