  • Publication number: 20240058471
Abstract: The present invention relates to development of a novel cannabinoid-based gold nanoparticle drug delivery system for intravenous or localized administration of cannabinoid drugs. More specifically, the gold nanoparticles with a specific size range are conjugated with various cannabinoid molecules (CBD and THC molecules) to synthesize a stable and biocompatible nano-delivery system suitable for both localized and intravenous administration.

  • Publication number: 20220096873
Abstract: Cancer imaging methods and cancer treatment methods using thermotherapy and drug delivery are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, the temperature of heated tissue is determined from radio-frequency data from an ultrasound transducer based upon a change in backscattered energy of acoustic harmonics. In another embodiment, a plurality of nanocarriers containing an anti-tumor medication are administered to a patient, and are excited in a first non-thermal ultrasound mode and/or a second thermal ultrasound mode using an ultrasound source. In yet another embodiment, a plurality of nanoparticles are administered to a patient, then at least some of the nanoparticles are heated along with tissue at a site of a tumor, and a photoacoustic imaging unit is used to determine a temperature of the heated tissue at the site of the tumor.

  • Publication number: 20190184202
Abstract: The present invention is a portable hand-held battery-operated therapeutic ultrasonic device that is specifically designed for clinical applications in muscle and joint pain management. The present invention generates stepwise high resolution, high frequency microprocessor-based signal to drive piezo-crystals for applying on the skin of the user. It makes use of a novel electronic driving technology that enables it to generate therapeutically combinations of acoustic intensities from 0 to 2 W/cm2 and with 80-85% efficiency. It is a lightweight device and can be programmed wirelessly by a physician/professional to be used at home by a patient.
