  • Patent number: 6790121
Abstract: This comprises a mechanical system (1) and a pneumatic system (3) that are interconnected to perform three phases. In the first one a walking mechanism is activated consisting of an oscillating plate (77) connected to the doll's legs. The second phase takes place when the doll is supplied with air and water through the mouth (43), connected by tubes (44) to a pneumatic accumulator (24) and an output valve (45) capable of being manually placed in an opened or closed position. During this phase, the doll repeatedly moves its hand towards its crotch, while it changes from walking to a restless movement, accomplished thanks to the alternating axial movement from a moveable toothed crown (12) and to the dissipation of energy in an arm clutch (29). The third phase consists in the ejection through the output valve (45) of a squirt of pressurized water, previously stored in the pneumatic accumulator.

  • Patent number: 6666744
Abstract: It consists of an electric motor (1) which by means of a reducer activates a central gear (12) that transmits the movement to a central wheel (20) that on each one of its sides has matching channels (21), where a pair of knobs (22) are housed comprising two oscillating levers (23) that can rotate around an articulation axle (24) near the doll's (1) shoulders, with each oscillating lever (23) ending in an oscillating toothed area (25) which gears into a toothed circular area (26) united rotationally to the legs (6) of the doll (1). The electric motor (11) receives its supply either by means of a circuit controlled by the contacts of a general relay (52) where an off switch in laying down position (27) and an off switch in seated position (28) are looped, or by means of an alternative switch (56) belonging to an alternative relay (55) activated by a microphone (36) that reacts to exterior sound or touch stimulations. FIGS. 6 and 13.

  • Patent number: 6095887
Abstract: The mechanism comprises an electric motor 12 capable of rotating in two directions and transmitting rotational movement through an endless belt 14 and two reducer trains 15, 16 to a clutch assembly 17 comprising a center drive wheel 18 and two driven wheels or pinions 19, 20, one on each side, which rotate in a mutually excluding manner depending on the rotational direction of drive wheel 18, its facing side surfaces presenting saw teeth 21, 22 of an appropriate configuration. When the mechanism is activated by removing the pacifier 5 from the doll's mouth, a first phase is executed, consisting in an unsteady walking motion generated by eccentric discs 25 and connecting rods 26, 27; after a specified time has elapsed, this passes on to a second phase consisting in a fall and subsequent upright recovery of the doll, driven by a central wheel 32. FIG. 7.

  • Patent number: 5975979
Abstract: The doll of the invention includes an internal mechanism based on gears, cams and terminations by virtue of which a series of movements are performed to provide a) swinging of the left arm, causing a rattler attached to said arm's hand to sound; b) stopping these movements and initiating movement of the second arm, bending the arm at the elbow and closing the hand in an approaching and grabbing motion on the pacifier previously inserted in the doll's mouth, opposite movements of said second arm being performed thereafter to pull out the pacifier, it being released from the hand holding it as a result of the pacifier being attached to a tether placed around the doll's neck. This cycle is repeated every time the pacifier is placed in the doll's mouth, thus simulating real-life movements for sounding the rattler and then removing the pacifier by itself.

  • Patent number: 5906531
Abstract: The doll has the peculiarity that the movement towards the right or towards the left of one of its arms carries with it the same movement of the head and also of the eyes. Likewise, the movement upwards or downwards of the arm carries with it the movement upwards and downwards of the head. Both movements can be made in combination, whereby any object (dummy, feeding bottle or similar) held in the hand of the driven arm, is carried towards the upper-front part, in such a way that if it is a feeding bottle this one is applied to the mouth of the doll and a miction of the doll is produced. Such movements are achieved as a consequence that the driven arm and the head are assembled on the body of the doll, through both ball joints, through a series of levers, axles and forks as so as to allow of transmission of the movements of a main lever associated to the ball joint of the arm, up to the ball joint itself of the head. FIG. 1.

  • Patent number: 5833513
Abstract: Crawling and movement simulating doll that makes waking up and falling asleep gestures, comprising a mechanism located inside a body make of resilient material which incorporates a doll's head and is provided with mechanisms acting on the eyes and mouth, the internal mechanism generating a plurality of movement and sound stages as a result of the direct action of a battery-powered motor on the mechanism, thereby causing a rhythmic action of said mechanism for moving the head and arms and for providing the crawling action, acting according to specified stages through internal contactors in cooperation with the parts comprised in the mechanism.

  • Patent number: 5679050
Abstract: A device for bringing about the closure of one or both eyes of a doll composed of two rigid arms, one fixed and the other swinging. The arms pass through a mounting neck flange joining the head and body of the doll. The two arms are separated by a spring placed between them within the cavity of the body of the doll. A portion of the fixed arm within the head of the doll incorporates an axis for rotation of first ends of a pair of bent levers. The bent levers are equipped with slots through which a single pin is adapted to translate. The pins join to the end of an actuating lever affixed to the swinging arm. When manual pressure is applied to the body of the doll, the swinging arm is displaced toward the fixed arm causing the two bent levers to swing and their two free ends to move toward each other. The free ends are rotationally attached to portions above and below at least one eye, causing the eye to close.
