    Abstract: A manual resuscitator is disclosed which includes a bag, a bag inlet valve assembly, and an open oxygen reservoir tube, a conduit between the bag inlet valve assembly and the open oxygen reservoir tube, and a one-way relief valve connecting the conduit to the atmosphere. The one-way relief valve has an opening pressure sufficiently low to prevent excitation of resonance pressure vibrations in the open oxygen reservoir tube.
