  • Patent number: 12007211
Abstract: A lock assembly includes a housing, a lock shaft, a reset shaft, and a transfer gear. The lock shaft is disposed partially within and extends from the housing and is movable between a lock position and an unlock position. The reset shaft is disposed at least partially within the housing, is spaced apart from the lock shaft, and is movable between a first position and a second position. The transfer gear is disposed between, and engages, the lock shaft and the reset shaft, and is configured to transfer motion between the lock shaft and the reset shaft. When the lock shaft moves from the lock position to the unlock position, the reset shaft is moved from the first position to the second position, and when the reset shaft moves from the second position to the first position, the lock shaft is moved from the unlock position to the lock position.

  • Patent number: 10921395
Abstract: A system and method for providing virtual real-time MRI-guidance for a biopsy outside of a conventional MRI scanner is described. MR images and ultrasound images of a region of a patient's body are simultaneously acquired during a pre-biopsy procedure. Respiratory states that the patient may experience during the biopsy are then determined from the acquired ultrasound images, and each respiratory state is associated with corresponding MR images. The MR images are indexed with their corresponding respiratory state. Ultrasound images are then acquired of the patient during a biopsy procedure. The respiratory state of the patient is determined from the ultrasound images, and the corresponding indexed MR images are displayed.

  • Patent number: 10750420
Abstract: Provided are methods and systems of managing vertical handoffs in a wireless communication network. Embodiments include analyzing wireless device usage to determine usage patterns, which may include locations and times at which the wireless device is typically accessing the network. The network may recognize points in the usage patterns at which signal quality parameters are typically reduced. Such reductions in signal quality parameters may lead to inefficient vertical handoffs. The network may decrease adverse effects of inefficient vertical handoffs by reducing ping ponging, selecting links between wireless devices and network nodes, or indicating to a user of the wireless device that delays and/or data loss may occur.

  • Patent number: 10666623
Abstract: Provided are methods and systems of using division-free duplexing (DFD) in a cable communication network. Techniques for applying DFD in a cable communication network may enable data to be transmitted and received over a coaxial cable without using division duplexing techniques. For example, the cable communication network may include DFD enabled network nodes and each subscriber to the cable network may be equipped with a DFD system configured to operate in a DFD mode. In some embodiments, oppositely propagating signals may be transmitted over one frequency channel, and DFD techniques may be used to recover originally transmitted signals. Further, in some embodiments, DFD techniques may be used with encryption methods to increase the security of data transmitted in the cable communication network.

  • Patent number: 10509101
Abstract: A smart street lighting system and method employs a plurality of street lights having a luminaire, a luminaire associate and a support pole. A communications module is contained within the luminaire associates and a power line is contained within the support poles. The power line is coupled to the communications module, the luminaire associate and the luminaire, and a steerable millimeter wave radar operatively coupled to the communications module. The communications module operates in a radio frequency network in a frequency range of 57-64 GHz. The steerable millimeter wave radar provides a signal reflected from a target that may be received by one of the luminaire associates within the system. A powerline communications system interfaces with the radio frequency network to provide communications between the communications modules in the street lights and the PLC system.

  • Patent number: 10124772
Abstract: In one example, a method of debris removal includes pressurizing a chamber to displace an elastic top surface of the chamber upward, and modulating the pressure of the mass of air within the chamber to cause the elastic top surface to oscillate in response. When the elastic top surface has been installed on the top surface of a vehicle (e.g., a semi-trailer), such oscillation may be used to impart movement to debris that has accumulated on or over the elastic top surface and remove such debris from the vehicle.
