  • Publication number: 20140061008
Abstract: A transport belt for a food processing machine and a manufacturing method thereof is provided. The transport belt comprising a first portion comprising a first elastomeric material having a first durometer of hardness; and a second portion comprising a second elastomeric material having a second durometer of hardness. The first durometer of hardness is different than the second durometer of hardness. The first portion provides a surface for food materials to be processed.

  • Publication number: 20120252336
Abstract: Method and apparatus for separating meat and bone. The apparatus separator comprises a rotating cutting head defining a rotary axis; a flexible cutting means attached to the rotating cutting head and rotating about the rotary axis, and defining a cutting plane; a transport means for transporting a bone with meat pieces to the cutting plane; wherein the flexible cutting means follows contours of the bone and separates the meat pieces from the bone.

  • Patent number: 4721222
Abstract: A combination beverage can carrier device and drinking accessory is disclosed. The device comprises a plurality of releasably detachable hollow cylindrical extension members which are connected to each other in parallel rows to form a carrier to be used in connection with beverage cans. When used as a carrier, the extensions are mounted flush to the top rim of the cans. Each extension is readily detachable from each other, and when detached, the extension can form a drinking accessory, such as a cup. When detached, the extension is telescopically slid upwardly along the outer surface of a can so that the top of the extension projects beyond the top rim of the can. This arrangement allows the user to directly drink from the can without touching his or her lips to the metallic surface and thereby increase safety and hygiene. Further, the extension and top surface of the can creates an area whereby external additives, such as ice cubes may be added.

  • Patent number: 4702004
Abstract: A razor (10, 10') is formed entirely of an inexpensive glass material. In one embodiment the razor (10) is formed as a single piece of material which includes a handle portion (14), a blade portion (16) and an arcuate intermediate portion (18) interconnecting the handle and blade portions, with the blade portion being provided with a sharp cutting edge (24). In another embodiment the razor (10') includes a handle (14') and an essentially cylindrical blade (16') received between clamping jaws (26) at one end of the handle, with the blade being provided with opposed cutting edges (24').

  • Patent number: 4616828
Abstract: Disclosed is a tennis ball including a continuous or discontinuous groove formed in the rubber spherical core. The groove extends about the spherical core below a track formed between two felt cover members. The groove of the spherical core controllably regularizes the air turbulence of the ball during its trajectory, and minimizes changes in air turbulence by wear or fuzzing up of the nap of the felt cover members attached to the ball. Also disclosed is an alternate embodiment for controllably regularizing the air turbulence around a tennis ball during its trajectory, using woven monofilament or multifilament synthetic fiber cover members. The diameter of the fibers and the spacing between the warp and weft fibers controls the size of exposed surface areas of the spherical core and the depth of air pockets formed between the intersecting fibers. The air pockets create a dimpled effect to control the loft or dip of the tennis ball during its trajectory.

  • Patent number: 4613138
Abstract: A tennis racquet which utilizes an energy input system is disclosed. The racquet head employs a flexible membrane which is held in place by membrane carriers secured to the interior of the head and to which the strings are attached. This membrane extends into the handle portion of the racquet where it is firmly anchored to a tensioning/energy input, storage and release device which in the preferred embodiment comprises a spring assembly. By adjusting this spring assembly, the player can dictate the amount of spring energy to be applied to an object striking the strings and thus determine the object's release speed and its dwell time on the racquet. Because the strings are not attached directly to the frame, the effective striking area of the racquet is enlarged.

  • Patent number: 4597576
Abstract: A sports racquet which utilizes non-circular strings is disclosed. The strings are threaded to the racquet in the normal manner with their flat or larger surfaces facing outwardly. The strings are thus arranged in a grid pattern with their flat or larger surfaces forming the striking area.

  • Patent number: 4517921
Abstract: An animal rearing house comprising a floor, walls and a roof defining an enclosure of generally elongate plan, air permeable animal cages of rectangular plan disposed with their major axes transverse to the major axis of the house, and a 100% variable speed fan for directing a heated air stream through the house in the elongate direction so that the air stream is transverse to the major axes of the cages.
