  • Publication number: 20050071333
Abstract: A method for determining term senses by identifying terms having multiple “senses” or meanings. For a given source term and trigger term, a list of important terms having high relevance to a combination of the source term and trigger term is created. The list of important terms is determined to be a “sense” for the source term in accordance with the present invention. A sense is assigned to a given term of a given document by determining similarity of the document to one or more senses and assigning a sense as a function of the degree of similarity. A sense-indicative index is created to treat multiple occurrences of a term distinctly, as a function of each respective assigned sense. Accordingly, the index may be used for sense-relevant information retrieval when a sense of a query term is discernible or specified.

  • Publication number: 20030084540
Abstract: An Attachable/Detachable Multiple Adjustable Cylindrical Tubes Apparatus for vehicles. Apparatus clamps onto a vehicle's frame. The Apparatus is lightweight, simple to operate, detachable and suitable for travel. Cylindrical Adjustable Tubes made of a sturdy material so as to not bend easily and withstand applied pressure when steering and maneuvering vehicle. In addition, protective Fitted Caps cover all tube endings to minimize injury to chaperone or occupant. Cylindrical Adjustable Tubes contain multiple insertion holes, which secure length adjustments. Additionally, when attached to vehicle, the Attachment is designed to not obstruct a pedestrian's walkway.

  • Patent number: 5732220
Abstract: A method and system for testing device conflict and bus resolution are disclosed. The device conflict and bus resolution is for a data processing system that uses customized device data definitions for configuration. To perform the testing for device conflict and bus resolution, the system first repopulates a device data information database found within the data processing system with customized configuration data for a predetermined system configuration to be tested. Next, the system performs a bus resolve resolution function that highlights any errors, device conflicts, or bus conflicts. Next, the system evaluates the results from the bus resolution resolve resolution function for evaluation by the tester. Before performing the repopulating function, the system removes any previously programmed customized definitions for a particular system configuration in order that a fair evaluation of the new configuration may be performed.

  • Patent number: 5256108
Abstract: A passenger powered, rotatable, amusement ride comprises a multisided, peripheral frame having the general shape of a convex polygon, with the frame having at least 5 sides and a number of apexes equal to the number of sides in the frame wherein the apexes alternate with the sides around the periphery of the frame. The frame has an open interior space bounded by internal surfaces of the sides of the frame. The frame is mounted to rotate like a wheel about a substantially horizontal axis through the central portion of the frame. A passenger is seated within the open interior space of the frame at an inside corner forming one of the apexes of the frame. A second passenger can be seated within the open interior space of the frame at an adjacent inside corner of the frame such that the second passenger faces the first passenger.
