  • Publication number: 20240190325
Abstract: A computerized control system controls a hydraulic subsystem of an articulated dump truck. Among other possible equipment, the hydraulic subsystem controls the raising and lowering of the dump truck bed. The control system detects a side-to-side lean angle of the dump truck. Upon the dump truck leaning at or above a predetermined lean angle, the control system controls the hydraulic subsystem to automatically lower the dump truck bed. In various aspects, the predetermined lean angle may be preprogrammed, may be programmable by the truck operator, or may be programmable only by certain personnel (e.g., changing the lean angle may require entry of a password). In one aspect, a manual override switch prevents automatic lowering of the dump truck bed when the dump truck is leaning at or above the predetermined lean angle.

  • Patent number: 11995604
Abstract: The present application describes a method of utilizing a mathematical model to determine appropriate locations for redistribution or drop-off of items with last mile delivery services at a consolidation point representing an intermediate sortation or warehousing in a retail enterprise's supply chain downstream of retail locations. Items may be brought from a consolidation point, such as a warehouse downstream of retail locations, to such a redistribution location (herein referred to as a “Transload” point). A last-mile delivery carrier may pick up items from the Transload point and deliver them to customer delivery locations in the geographical area served by the Transload point. In examples, relocation of selected deliveries from the consolidation point to a Transload point reduces the per-mile cost for last mile deliveries. A model uses candidate locations to assess optimal locations for such a Transload facility, for example, based on delivery locations and associated costs.

  • Patent number: 11975737
Abstract: This provides locations for mounting controllers and processing components that effectively employ the roof within a frame covered by a cowling so as to avoid exposure to weather and the environment. The roof is also employed to provide a sensor bar that extends across the vehicle width for a distance that does not interfere with normal vehicle function or generate potential overhangs, which can inadvertently engage objects or vehicles. The bar is sufficient in size and shape so as to allow mounting of a plurality of types of sensors on its top surface and/or recessed within front or rear edges. Such sensors can include visual light cameras for machine vison processes and/or LIDAR of various types and cooperage areas/fields of view—some of which can be recessed within a hollow region of the bar. Additional sensors can be mounted on the truck cab and/or chassis, including visual-light cameras and radars.

  • Patent number: 11979131
Abstract: A Finite Impulse Response (FIR) filter that reduces the complexity of the hardware required for a filter with a high decimation factor while achieving similar performance of prior art poly-phase filters of greater complexity. The FIR filter includes a small number of multiply-and-accumulate (MAC) units connected in parallel to each other between an input stream and an output stream. The MAC units are provided with coefficients from a memory. In an example implementation, the memory is addressed by a counter and the output of the memory selected by a multiplexer for suppling the coefficients.
