Patent number: 9807350Abstract: Systems and associated methods for capturing media content for a plurality of guests and intelligently parsing the media content to produce a customized/personalized media product for a particular guest or group of guests are described. A system is configured for combining video data and position tracking data to record a group guest experience or show and automatically provide custom media products. Embodiments record a plurality of guests throughout an experience or show, and simultaneously position track each guest individually. Embodiments utilize the tracking data to extract a sub-sampled video of each guest. This sub-sampled video is combined with additional media automatically according to a script. The result is a personalized video take-away for each guest, which can be created entirely without human intervention.Type: GrantFiled: October 28, 2010Date of Patent: October 31, 2017Assignee: Disney Enterprises, Inc.Inventors: Christopher James Purvis, Joshua B. Gorin, Cliff Wong

Patent number: 9367852Abstract: A method for managing distribution of entitlements, such as personalized or enhanced experiences at a destination such a theme park. The method includes receiving a request for experience state management from an experience system that defines an experience provided by the experience system and identifies a single or multiple visitors. The method includes accessing an experience state associated with the identified visitors. The experience state defines experiences the visitor is entitled to receive and a ranked or prioritized listing of these experiences. The method includes responding to the experience system indicating whether the visitor is eligible to receive the defined experience based on their experience state and, when there are two or more eligible visitors, arbitrating amount the members of this eligible group. A feedback loop causes the experience states to be updated to modify the prioritized listings and to update an experience history for use in later arbitrations.Type: GrantFiled: April 22, 2011Date of Patent: June 14, 2016Assignee: Disney Enterprises, Inc.Inventors: David J. Canora, Christopher James Purvis, Brian J. Wilson

Publication number: 20110288695Abstract: An unmanned vehicle system containing one or more vehicles equipped with an autonomous control system. Each vehicle is of navigating on its own when provided with goals. A user is capable of sending and receiving goals from the autonomous control system via a communication link. A unified display interface displays information about the system and accepts commands from the user. The display interface in question is modeless and has a minimum of clutter and distractions. The form of this display interface is that of a set of screens, each of which is able to receive touch inputs from the user. The user is able to monitor and control individual vehicles or the entirety of the UVS solely through their use of a standard touchscreen with no additional peripherals.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 17, 2011Publication date: November 24, 2011Applicant: CLEARPATH ROBOTICS, INC.Inventors: Ryan GARIEPY, Michael James PURVIS

Publication number: 20070238073Abstract: An exemplary embodiment of the invention relates to determining aimpoint relative to a target located within a firing range. The target can be either fixed or moving, and if the target is moving then it can be mounted on tracks or controlled by servomechanisms. In addition to aimpoint, predicted projectile effects and personnel performance can be calculated for evaluation and for training. The firing range is mapped so that placement of infrared emitters is associated with specific targets. Placement of the emitter external to the target perimeter produces accurate results so long as the emitter is within the field of view of a camera mounted upon the projectile launcher. The invention results in large firing ranges with the ability to place targets wherever desired without decreasing aimpoint measurement accuracy.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 5, 2006Publication date: October 11, 2007Inventors: Rocco Portoghese, Richard Hebb, Edward Purvis, James Purvis

Patent number: 4263910Abstract: Implantates are packaged in means capable of aseptic treatment and forming a closed cell having a portion adapted for engagement, rupture, and entry by a tool that permits removal of the implantate for use without handling of the implantate by the user. In such a package, the closed cell is formed by a film which includes portions shaped to assist rupture and entry of the cell by the tool and to assist in encompassing the implantate within the tool for its removal from the cell. The tool used in this system can be the means used to implant the implantate subcutaneously in the body of an animal. Thus, using the system of this invention, an implantate can be provided within a closed cell which is capable of aseptic treatment and transported to a remote site for use. At such a site, the closed cell can be ruptured with an implanter and the implantate can be encompassed within the implanter and removed from the cell for implantation.Type: GrantFiled: April 21, 1980Date of Patent: April 28, 1981Assignee: Eli Lilly and CompanyInventors: Garrett J.
