  • Patent number: 11789565
Abstract: A lid controller hub (LCH) comprising processing components located in the lid of a mobile computing device, such as a laptop, processes sensor data generated by input sensors (microphones, cameras, touchscreen) and provides for improved and enhanced experiences over existing devices. For example, the LCH provides hardened privacy and the synchronization of touch display activities with the display refresh rate, the latter providing for a smoother and more responsive touch experience over existing designs. The LCH enables continuous gestures comprising touch gesture and in-air gesture portions as well as multi-plane gestures in which an initial touch gesture places the device into a mode or context in which it recognizes and acts upon subsequent in-air gestures. Touch operations of a mobile computing device can be based on user presence, user engagement, and a level of user interaction with the device.

  • Patent number: 9249010
Abstract: A lead frame packaged electronic chip. The packaged electronic chip includes a MEMS device, an integrated circuit and a wire bond electrically coupling the MEMS device and the integrated circuit. The packaged electronic chip is encased in a molding material. The packaged electronic chip further includes a mechanism that shields the wire bond and the input/output pads that couple the MEMS device and the integrated circuit from electromagnetic and radio frequency interference.

  • Patent number: 8518371
Abstract: The invention features a class of 2-nitroimidazole compounds with a secondary basic nitrogen atom and a linker bearing one or more therapeutic agents, cytotoxic agents, detectable labels, or chelating groups. In particular, the invention provides 2-nitroimidazole compounds containing a cluster of boron atoms for use in boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT). The 2-nitroimidazole compounds can be used to treat hypoxic conditions, including, e.g., cancer, inflammation, and ischemia. The weakly basic 2-nitroimidazole compounds target to hypoxic tissue and provide increased tissue concentration overall.

  • Publication number: 20080085237
Abstract: The present invention incorporates weakly basic substituents (pKa about 8 or greater) such as pyrrolidine, piperidine, piperazine and azapane moieties in halogenated 2-nitromidazoles as a major improvement over prior art for the non-invasive detection of cellular hypoxia in normal and malignant tissues. The invention features the use of [18F] positron emission tomography, [19F] magnetic resonance spectroscopy, and [19F] magnetic resonance imaging. Improvements over prior art compounds are six-fold. 1) Salts of weakly basic reagents are highly water-soluble which facilitates administration. 2) Unreacted reagents are rapidly cleared from systemic circulation thereby decreasing background noise. 3) Reagents with weakly basic substituents are concentrated in tissue ˜3 fold above plasma levels thereby increasing binding intensity and enhancing signal detection.

  • Patent number: 5086068
Abstract: A process for preparing an immunogenic conjugate of a nitroaromatic compound and a carrier comprises colavently bonding the nitroaromatic compound to the carrier in an essentially oxygen-free atmosphere and isolating the conjugate from the reaction mixture. The conjugate may be used to raise antibodies specific to the nitroaromatic hapten. The antibodies may be used to determine the presence of hypoxic tissue in living matter by treating the living matter with a nitroaromatic compound and subsequently testing suspected tissue to determine if there is binding of the antibody to tissue. By use of appropriate markers, bound antibodies can be determined to indicate the presence of hypoxic tissue due to the unique reaction of nitroaromatic compounds with hypoxic tissue.
