  • Publication number: 20230374771
Abstract: The plastic cribbing blocks are useful in their stacked configuration for supporting a structure during a leveling procedure on an uneven ground surface. The tops and bottoms of the cribbing blocks include interlocking mechanisms or texturing to prevent lateral movement between adjacent blocks when they are in their stacked configuration. A plurality of the plastic cribbing blocks can be placed in their nesting configuration, such that the tops of lower blocks are nested within the bottoms of upper blocks. This configuration may be used for transporting or storing the blocks. The blocks are generally rectangular with a top central horizontal panel, a bottom perimeter horizontal panel and four sides extending between the top central horizontal panel and the bottom perimeter horizontal panel. The block includes interior and exterior ribs or structures.

  • Patent number: 11597453
Abstract: The powered hand truck and dolly system for ISO (International Organization for Standardization) containers is a system for moving ISO containers. The system includes at least one dolly and a powered hand truck. The hand truck includes two booms that are vertical for storage and rotate into a horizontal position for engaging the container. The ends of the booms have shafts with cams for engaging standard twist lock connector receptacles on one end of the container. Each dolly also has a shaft with a cam for engaging a standard twist lock connector receptacle on the other end of the container. The dollies include bars that are vertical for storage and rotate into a horizontal position for connecting the dollies to one another such that their shafts are appropriately positioned to align with their associated connector.

  • Patent number: 10472006
Abstract: The powered hand truck with pivoting tracks includes a chassis containing the components for general operation. A common pivot axle extends through the chassis and a pair of tracks is pivotally attached to opposite ends of the common pivot axle. This connection to the pivot axle permits each track to pivot passively with respect to the chassis independently of the other. An extendable control arm has one end attached to each opposing side of the chassis and an opposing end attached to a corresponding track. The control arm controls the extent of pivoted positioning of the connected track to dampen pivoting of the corresponding track within a predetermined range.

  • Patent number: 10377614
Abstract: The container transport system and method provides for the transport of portable storage units. The system includes a powered hand truck, a specially configured vehicle, and a pair of dolly wheel sets for installation to one end of the portable storage unit. The method comprises removal of the hand truck from the vehicle, fitting the dolly wheels to one end of the portable storage unit as needed, lifting the opposite end of the portable storage unit using the powered hand truck, maneuvering the portable storage unit onto the vehicle using the powered hand truck while simultaneously lifting the end of the portable storage unit supported by the hand truck to keep the portable storage unit level, and parking the powered hand truck on the rearward portion of the vehicle. The hand truck may be remotely controlled, and the dolly sets are preferably height adjustable.

  • Patent number: 9815673
Abstract: The load securing device for lift trucks includes various embodiments adapted for installation upon powered hand trucks, forklifts, and pallet jacks. Each embodiment includes an upright for attachment to the lift truck structure, the upright having a tensioner installed at its upper end or elsewhere opposite the forks of the lift truck. A tensioning element (e.g., tiedown strap, etc.) passes through the tensioner, and a chain and hook extends from the distal end of the tensioning element. The hook of the load securing device is hooked to the load carried on the forks of the lift truck, and the tensioner is tightened to pull and hold the load up adjacent the vertical structure of the lift truck at the back of the forks. Two load securing devices can be used with a powered hand truck for securing a small portable building structure for movement.

  • Publication number: 20120241545
Abstract: The tiedown strap ratchet with take-up reel includes a ratchet mechanism for tightening a cargo or tiedown strap and a reel for securing the free end of the strap. The reel includes at least one take-up crank extending radially from at least one end of the take-up reel shaft, the circular path of the distal end of the take-up crank extending into the arc subtended by the ratchet handle during its operation. When the ratchet handle is placed in its stowed position, the handle interferes with travel of the take-up crank, thus preventing the take-up crank from rotating to allow the free end of the strap to unwind from the reel. The take-up reel may have various take-up crank configurations, e.g., a single crank, cranks extending from the opposite ends of the reel shaft, one or two double-ended cranks, etc.

  • Patent number: 8186931
Abstract: The powered hand truck has a chassis supported at one end by a single axle with two independently operable drive wheels. A prime mover is provided generally medially on the chassis, driving the drive wheels and powering the forklift mechanism. There is no operator console housing for the powered hand truck, as it is intended to be remotely controlled. A transmitter provides for specific and precise control of each drive wheel independently of the other, by using two drive wheel control switches. The powered hand truck has a caster wheel actuation strut housing over the caster wheel end of the chassis. A storage rack and dolly may be installed upon a suitable transport vehicle for transporting the powered hand truck. The hand truck forks engage the storage rack dolly, with the dolly translating along the rack to allow the truck to be deployed from, or loaded onto, the transport vehicle.
