  • Publication number: 20050173273
Abstract: A retaining device for a disc-shaped item of recorded media includes at least one arm that projects through the central opening of the disc with a locking finger that engages the upper edge of the disc. The disc is released when the user pushes downwardly on the retaining device to collapse the arm through the central opening of the disc to release the disc. The downward force on the device forces portions of the retaining device below the bottom wall of the container. When the downward force is released, the arms engage the lower inner edge of the disc and hold the disc on top of the retaining device. The invention also provides a disc-holding page that snaps into the lid of the container to allow a second disc to be stored.

  • Publication number: 20050150793
Abstract: A locking device for a disc retaining hub includes a base and a head that lock together over the hub to lock a disc on the hub until a portion of the locking device is destroyed. The head or the base of the locking device includes locking fingers that allow the head and base to lock together in a one-way snap fit connection. The locking mechanism may also cooperate with the disc retaining hub to lock itself to the hub. The locking mechanism prevents the disc from being removed from the hub until the locking mechanism is destroyed by the user.

  • Publication number: 20050098463
Abstract: A lockable media storage box includes a base and a lid connected to the base with at least one hinge. The base and lid include elements that cooperate with a locking to allows the lid to be locked in the closed position. In one embodiment, the lock is received in the concave opening disposed at the front of the storage container. The lock may be unlocked with a special key or may be unlocked by destroying portions of the lock that are designed to be destroyed. In another embodiment of the invention, a sliding lock is carried by the container. The sliding lock may be carried inside the container or on the front wall of the container.

  • Patent number: 5249919
Abstract: A centrifugal compressor is provided with a collector for receiving refrigerant from the diffuser, and sound absorbent silencer segments are placed within the collector and retained in place against one wall thereof. The silencer segments are held in place by machine screws that penetrate graduated openings in the side wall of the collector. The machine screw shaft fits a threaded nipple on the silencer segment that also fits into the opening. A sealing plug is disposed in a wide part of the opening above the machine screw head to prevent leakage of the compressed refrigerant.

  • Patent number: 4012202
Abstract: A pyroscrubber for combustion of large carbon particles in a stream of waste gas, particularly the waste gas from a coke calcination furnace comprises a generally U-shaped combustion chamber having a first passage arranged parallel with (preferably above) a second passage, so that there is a reversal in gas flow direction between the two passages. The combustion chamber has an exhaust gas inlet and an array of air inlets at the inlet end of the first passage. A gas outlet preferably leads laterally out of the side of the structure at the outlet end of the second passage to secure an abrupt change in the direction of gas flow.
