  • Patent number: 9340330
Abstract: The invention is directed to storage containers and lids for storage containers which provide for a secure closure and a storage container which is airtight and leakproof. The lid includes a generally U-shaped closure made of a plastic material for securing to a container base; a center window also made of a plastic material and preferably the same as the U-shaped closure; and a thermoplastic material which provides for a sealing gasket on the underside of the U-shaped closure for mating with the container base and a perimeter seal on the outside of the U-shaped closure and around the outer circumference of the center window. The lid may further include a gripping tab made at least in part of thermoplastic material in the lid corner for opening or closing the container, and wings made of a thermoplastic material in one or more portions or corners of the lid.

  • Patent number: 7438279
Abstract: A pulling tool for pulling nails, screws, rivets, pegs, or other protrusions includes a jaw which may be opened to receive the head of the protrusion. The jaw is then at least partially closed against the protrusion, and when the handle of the tool is pulled, the jaw is both urged shut and also away from the surface from which the protrusion extends. Thus, as the protrusion is pulled, its shaft is also more tightly grasped, which helps to pull the protrusion from the surface without stripping off its head/cap. The pulling tool can be provided as a part of a hammer, crowbar, or other conventional tool.

  • Publication number: 20080010839
Abstract: A rotary cutter, comprising a body, a trigger and an actuator member. The body includes a rear end and a forward end, the forward end including a cylindrical head. The trigger is rotatably connected at one end thereof to the rear end of the body, and the actuator member is also rotatably connected to the body. The actuator member is in at least selective contact with the trigger such that rotation of the trigger results in a reciprocal rotation of the actuator member. A blade assembly is removably coupled to the actuator member and is configured to move between a retracted position and an extended position. Actuation of the trigger results in the blade assembly moving towards the extended position. When the blade assembly is in the extended position, the blade assembly is capable of contacting a cutting surface.

  • Patent number: 7028866
Abstract: A pressure resistant plastic bottle for containing and dispensing an aerosol composition. The plastic bottle is comprised of a hollow elongate body having a central portion, a top portion and an opposite bottom portion with the central portion having an inwardly concave configuration extending along its longitudinal direction. The bottom portion of the elongate body is integral with the central portion and defines an outwardly projecting convexly shaped configuration. The top portion of the bottle is integral with the central portion and has an outwardly convex configuration extending along its longitudinal direction and defines a neck having an opening for receiving and dispensing the aerosol composition. A closure covers the opening and is sealingly attached to the neck to contain the aerosol within the plastic bottle.

  • Publication number: 20040149781
Abstract: A pressure resistant plastic bottle for containing and dispensing an aerosol composition. The plastic bottle is comprised of a hollow elongate body having a longitudinal axis and an outer wall. The outer wall defines a central portion, a top portion and an opposite bottom portion with the central portion having a circular cross-sectional configuration taken through a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis and having an inwardly concave configuration extending along its longitudinal direction.

  • Patent number: 6087815
Abstract: A portable power system for a hand tool employs a high-voltage transmission of power from a battery pack over a cord to a DC to DC converter, which steps the transmission voltage down to rated tool voltage. The system uses a switching transistor to transmit power according to a duty cycle which varies automatically according to tool current draw and voltage. The DC to DC converter employs synchronous rectification with an inductor-capacitor network to transform a duty cycle square wave into DC power. The startup voltage sense feature permits powering up the converter circuitry only when needed. The converter will shut down if no current has been drawn by the tool for a predetermined period of time or if the converter unit is in danger of overheating, as determined by a stored algorithm. The portable power system has safeguards to prevent fouling or shorting in wet environments, is adaptable to left or right handed users, and is physically configurable into a variety of carrying modes.

  • Patent number: 5929597
Abstract: A Portable Power System configured to supply an appropriate voltage to an electrical device. The system includes a battery pack having at least one cell supplying a first direct current voltage, and an adapter. The adapter, which is electrically connected to the battery pack by an electrical cord, is configured to be mechanically connected to the device. The adapter also includes a DC to DC voltage converter supplying a second direct current voltage to the device, the second voltage being smaller than the first voltage but sufficient to permit the intended operation of the device.

  • Patent number: 5542185
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a device for describing arcs. The device includes a pair of legs connected at a pivot joint. A shoe is disposed at the end of one leg to support the device and maintain the center point of the arc while the device is used. An instrument is attached to the other leg so arcs can be formed as the device is rotated about the shoe. A rack and wheel are also connected to the legs to adjust the radius of the arc.
