  • Patent number: 6666424
Abstract: A portable writing board presentation structure has a collapsible writing surface, such as a dry-erase or “white board” surface, and an integral, height-adjustable tripod stand. The writing board structure is defined by first and second injection molded plastic panels, each panel having a writing surface on one side thereof and a non-writing surface on an opposite side thereof. The panels are pivotally coupled to one another to define an open position and a closed position. The open position situates the writing surface in a co-planar relationship to provide a continuous writing surface. The closed position situates the writing surface sides of each panel in a parallel relationship. With respect to the tripod stand, an end section of a telescoping leg is integrally molded into each panel such that the remaining telescoping section of the telescoping leg extends into a recess formed in a non-presentation side surface of the panel.

The closed position situates the writing surface sides of each panel in a parallel relationship to provide a portable, protected and durable writing board structure in an attache or carrying case-like manner.

  • Publication number: 20010040207
Abstract: A portable display or corporate board has a collapsible presentation surface that is supported by length adjustable legs. The display board also includes an integral handle. The display board has a first panel that is attached to a second panel such that the first and second panels form an essentially contiguous and continuous presentation surface when the first and second panels are in an extended, presentation, or open position. In a closed position, the first and second panels abut one another. The presentation surface may be any writing surface such as dry-erase, chalk, or otherwise. The length adjustable legs may constitute a tripod of telescoping rods pivotally attached to one of the first and second panels.

  • Patent number: 5924452
Abstract: A valve assembly for permitting fluid flow in a first direction and for preventing fluid flow in a second direction opposite to the first direction. The valve assembly includes an upper housing, a lower housing coupled to the upper housing to form a generally axially extending housing assembly, and a valve seating section defined within an inner peripheral portion of the lower housing. The valve seating section includes an axially extending inner peripheral surface and a transversely extending surface substantially normal to the axially extending inner peripheral surface. A valve member is seated within the valve seating section of said lower housing. The valve member includes a flange that extends from the valve member in a transverse direction and defines an axially oriented outer peripheral surface thereof.

  • Patent number: 4759713
Abstract: A disposable dental instrument is described in which the instrument is formed by insert molding a handle about a wire. The wire has a working portion and a embedding portion; both the working portion and the embedding portion have a common diameter. In one embodiment of the subject invention, the handle changes color when exposed to ultraviolet light. In another embodiment of the invention, the instrument can be sterilized using only radiation sterilization techniques.

  • Patent number: 4445850
Abstract: A machine for heating elongated flat surfaces comprising an elongated supporting framework having on its upper portions peripheral ledges for supporting edges of an elongated flat plate to be heated, parallel tracks beneath said ledges running lengthwise of the framework, a wheeled carriage adapted to move in said tracks from one end of the framework to the other, heating means carried on the carriage to direct heat against the undereneath surface of the plate, and means for driving the carriage at a steady pace over the length of the tracks. This machine is useful in heating the underneath side of painted plates so that the paint may be stripped therefrom and the plates used again.
