  • Publication number: 20230201061
Abstract: Certain aspects relate to systems and techniques for a mobile medical platform that includes a rigid base and one or more wheel assemblies coupled to a first side of the rigid base to support and move the rigid base in a physical environment. A respective wheel assembly of the one or more wheel assemblies includes a wheel, a first motor configured to steer the wheel, and a second motor configured to roll the wheel. The wheel is configured to respectively rotate around a first axis and a second axis that is different from the first axis. The first motor is positioned around a respective one of the first axis and the second axis, and the first axis is aligned with the second axis that results in a negligible caster angle of the wheel. A method of operating the mobile medical platform is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20190099893
Abstract: The present invention includes a pair of boxing robots. Each robot includes at least one wheel and at least one arm controllable through a control system on the robot that is in communication with a user control unit. The control system has at least one axis of inertial sensing to support balancing of the robot. Preprogrammed algorithms are configured to include a balance algorithm to (a) maintain the robot upright during movement and actions, (b) maintain the robot upright upon sensing impact or force onto the robot, (c) cause the robot to fall prone upon sensing a strong impact or force (defined above a threshold) or sensing repeated impacts above a threshold number, and (d) create specified movement to mimic swagger, loss of energy, and additional wobble to imitate dazing. A set of preprogrammed instructions to (a) control wheels to move the robot, (b) control arms to mimic punching.

  • Patent number: 6393708
Abstract: A projection apparatus for projecting the axis of a plumbing fixture or an existing opening in a construction member onto a remote member, for locating an opening to be made in the remote member, has a body having at least a first cylindrical portion with a first diameter ending in a shoulder, the first cylindrical portion having an axis, and a laser pointer constrained in a cavity of the body such that the laser, when activated, projects along the axis. The apparatus is useful for projecting a center point from a plumbing fixture onto a remote member, such as for vent installation, and for aligning openings in construction members for pipes and other conduits. In an alternative embodiment the projection apparatus has a vertical-seeking element associated with the laser pointer, so a vertical line may be determined for an upward-facing open pipe that does not point perfectly vertical, but faces generally upward.

  • Publication number: 20010013183
Abstract: A modular memorial marker for marking a gravesite. The marker is created from a top shell having a top and a plurality of sides and a bottom shell which create a cavity into which a filler material is inserted to provide support for the top surface. Selected external elements, such as nameplates and decorative elements, are secured to the top surface of the marker. Selected internal elements, such as storage compartments and bolt receiving slugs, are provided under the top surface in the filler material or metal frame. The marker may be mounted on a slab and the entire unit is installed at the gravesite.
