Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for mobile device advertising. The system includes a mobile device, a content provider, and an advertisement provider. A plurality of location fix technologies is executed to determine a plurality of location fixes for the mobile device, and the plurality of location fixes is stored in the mobile device. A location request is received for the mobile device, the plurality of stored location fixes is retrieved from the mobile device, and the plurality of stored location fixes is sent to the content provider. The content provider receives the plurality of location fixes for the mobile device from the mobile device, forwards the plurality of location fixes to the advertisement provider, and transmits content to the mobile device. The advertisement provider selects an advertisement based on location fixes, and transmits the advertisement to the mobile device.

Abstract: A communication device comprises a processor, a server proxy object accessible to the processor, and an object-oriented application that runs on the processor. The application requests a service from the server proxy object. The server proxy object generates a packet that contains an identity of the requested service. The service identity is converted into a corresponding method by a remote computer such that the server proxy object need not change if the corresponding method changes on the remote computer.

Abstract: A method for inferring location of a mobile device is provided. A radio frequency fingerprint is taken for a mobile device, wherein the radio frequency fingerprint includes cell tower data and cell sector data that includes a cell sector through which the mobile device is not communicating. Whether the radio frequency fingerprint matches a previous radio frequency fingerprint associated with a location fix is determined. A location fix technology is executed for the mobile device in response to a determination that the radio frequency fingerprint does not match the previous radio frequency fingerprint.

Abstract: Computer implemented methods and systems are provided for web log filtering. A uniform resource locator (URL) is identified for a resource requested by an identified device. The URL is stored unless the URL has at a reference to an advertisement or an extension that matches any of a list of extensions specified for storage exclusion. The stored URL is categorized based on either the stored URL or an included domain name, depending on whether the included domain name matches any of the list of domain names that are associated with multiple categories. A count is incremented in a web log category associated with the identified device based on the categorized stored URL.

Abstract: Computer implemented methods and systems are provided for dynamic transcoding to stitch streaming digital content. A selection of a content file is received from a mobile device. An advertisement content file is identified for the selected content file. Attributes of the selected content file are determined. Attributes of the advertisement content file are determined. The advertisement content file and the selected content file are converted so that the attributes of the advertisement content file and the attributes of the selected content file match. The selected content file is stitched with the advertisement content file to produce streaming digital content. The streaming digital content is provided to the mobile device.

Abstract: A method of managing migration in enterprise-computing systems is provided. The method includes inventorying information about each of a plurality of legacy servers and each of a plurality of applications, wherein the inventory information identifies the one or more applications installed on each of the legacy servers. The method includes defining a maximum number K of applications to migrate during a wave from the legacy servers to a plurality of preferred servers. The method also includes selecting a number Q of applications to migrate during the wave from the legacy servers to the preferred servers, where Q is less than or equal to K. The method further includes installing the Q applications on the preferred servers, and retiring the legacy servers whose applications have been migrated to the preferred server.

Abstract: One illustrative method for concatenating an unselected content stream (such as advertising) with a selected content stream to create a digital content stream includes interactions between a first server and a second server. The first server can receive a selection of the selected content stream from a hand-held device, transmit the selection to a second server, receive a playlist having location identifiers that identify at least the selected content stream and an unselected content stream, and communicate with a plurality of streaming servers collectively having streaming digital content including the selected and unselected content streams. The first server further communicates to the hand-held device a play time of the streaming digital content, concatenates the streaming digital content from the plurality of streaming servers, and provides the concatenated streaming digital content to the hand-held device as a single content stream.

Abstract: A system for personalizing a user experience on a mobile computing device is provided. The system includes a user environment component associated with the mobile computing device. The user environment component is operable for generating a navigational data associated with interactions with the mobile computing device by the user. The system includes a server in communication with the mobile computing device and has an associated user environment manager component. The user environment manager component is operable for processing the navigational data and cache information associated with the user interactions. The server is operable for using the navigational data and other user information to select content to be provided to the user environment component.

Abstract: Systems and methods for seamless retrieval of coupons and other non-standard items to a mobile device. Some method embodiments comprise: receiving a communication that specifies a user id and a coupon id, and storing the user id and a location of the coupon in a table in response to said receiving. A response to the communication is sent to the mobile device to invoke an application that accesses the table to determine the coupon location and uses the coupon location to download the content. The communication may be a web page request from a browser on the mobile device, and the application may be a coupon organizer external to the web browser. The communication may further include origination information, so that once the retrieval is complete, the mobile device once again displays the original web page and the user is given the perception that the download was accomplished within the browser.

Abstract: A service access architecture to enable customer access to telecommunications provider services is provided. The service access architecture includes a service layer providing a standard interface for communication with customer applications to access network systems and data systems of the telecommunications provider. The service access architecture also includes a device/data layer maintaining the network systems and data systems of the telecommunications provider. The service access architecture includes an adaptation layer coupled to communicate, via at least one broker of the adaptation layer, with the service layer and to communicate, via at least one adapter of the adaptation layer, with the device/data layer, the adaptation layer operable to interface between the service layer and the device/data layer. A method is also provided for a customer of a telecommunications provider to gain access to the telecommunications provider's services and applications using a customer application.

Abstract: A system for managing software failover on a bladed server is provided. The system includes a plurality of bladed servers, including a first bladed server and a second failover bladed server. The system includes a server control, a storage device, and software. The server control is in communication with the plurality of bladed servers, and the storage device is accessible by the plurality of bladed servers. The software is stored on the storage device. The system also includes a management component that is operable on the server control. The management component monitors execution of the software on the first bladed server. The management component is operable in response to detecting failure of the software on the first bladed server to promote execution of the software from the external storage device by the second failover bladed server. A method for automated software failover is also provided.

Abstract: A system for improving resource utilization across a cluster of interconnected symmetric multiprocessor (“SMP”) servers is provided. The system includes single system image (“SSI”) software that represents the cluster of SMP servers as a single virtual SMP server and virtualization software that partitions the virtual SMP server into virtual servers. The system may also include virtual infrastructure management software that is used to partition the virtual SMP server into the virtual servers. A method for using SMP servers is further provided. The method includes representing the SMP servers as a virtual SMP server and partitioning the virtual SMP server into virtual servers. The method may also include allocating and reallocating processes across the physical SMP servers.

Abstract: A system for demonstrating proof of concept of a project, such as a computer application, for an organization is provided. The system includes a requirements component, a use case component, a log component, and a reporting component. The requirements component maintains requirements of the organization for the project or computer application. The use case component maintains a plurality of use cases, each of the plurality of use cases are associated with at least one of the requirements. The log component track the results of the project or computer application's execution of at least some of the plurality of use cases. The log component is also operable to track at least some defects of the project identified based on executing some of the plurality of use cases. The reporting component is operable to report results for at least some of the use cases.

Abstract: A system for testing computer software is provided that comprises a client module having a first interface to promote communication with software to be tested, the client module having instructions operable to test the software, an agent module operable on a first computer system to initiate the client module on the first computer system, a user interface adapted to receive input including test information, and a manager module coupled to the receive the input from the user interface and generate at least a portion of the instructions of the client module using a portion of the test information, the manager module operable to communicate the portion of the test instructions and the first interface to the first computer and further operable to communicate with the agent module to initiate the client module to test the software. A method for testing software is also provided.
