  • Publication number: 20180326095
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a kit for evaluating on the skin of a patient the sensitivity to penicillin, comprising (A) a first vial containing a major determinant mixture, the major determinant mixture comprising benzylpenicilloyl polylysine; (B) a second vial containing lyophilized minor determinant mixture, the minor determinant mixture comprising a lyophilized mixture of neutralized (1) penicillin G potassium; (2) penicilloic acid; and (3) penilloic acid; (C) a third vial containing amoxicillin sodium; and (D) instructions for carrying out a method to evaluate on the skin of a patient the sensitivity to penicillin. The present invention is also directed to a method to rule out penicillin allergy using the disclosed kit.

  • Publication number: 20040080429
Abstract: A method for remote sensing includes receiving, at a first module of an array of modules, incident electromagnetic energy from an external source. The incident electromagnetic energy is converted to a source of power for the first module. A value is measured, at the first module, of at least one environmental parameter adjacent the first module. A signal is encoded with the value of the at least one environmental parameter. The signal is transmitted to a central processing subsystem independently of transmissions from other ones of the array of modules.

  • Patent number: 4552913
Abstract: A one component polyurethane precursor suitable as an in-mold coating composition composed of a prepolymer of an organic polyisocyanate with a polyol of a polyether polyol of 2 and 3 hydroxyl groups or a polyester polyol of 2 and 3 hydroxyl groups to give a free NCO content of about 3 to about 15% with a salt complex of a diamine, such as NaCl complex of MDA. The amount of filler and plasticizer, viz, those preferably of the crown or pseudocrown ethers preferably are adjusted to give the precursors a viscosity of about 5 to about 50 pascal seconds at the temperature the precursors are applied, but usually less than about 80.degree. C. These precursors are spread, applied or preferably injected onto the surface of the fiberglass molding viz a polyester or epoxy resin one and pressed at a pressure of about 5 to 200 psi (34,475 to 1,379,000 pascals) and higher at a temperature of at least 80.degree. C. to cure the precursor to give a polyurethane coating on the fiberglass molding.

  • Patent number: 4103726
Abstract: A tire having a reticulated or foraminous plastic reinforcing member within an elastomeric body. This tire can be made by reticulating polyester or nylon type plastic to give a foraminous member and then injecting a liquid elastomer or elastomer precursor into a mold to fill the interstices of the foraminous body.
