    Abstract: A ladder tie strap is wrapped around adjacent rungs of upper and lower ladder sections in an extension ladder to prevent the upper ladder section from accidentally retracting relative to the lower ladder section. A fair of tie straps may also be secured to the upper end of the ladder and fastened to a ladder support structure to stabilize the ladder against lateral movement. The structure may be a wall or a wire, and when a wire the straps are wrapped around the wire and around the ladder rung or ladder side members.

    Abstract: An L-shaped positioning tool is I-shaped in cross section, including inner and outer flanges on a centrally positioned stem, with aligned slots being formed in the edges of the flanges to receive screws and a screwdriver for fastening the positioning tool to a workpiece. Alternatively the positioning tool may be temporarily fastened to a workpiece through the use of a strip of material having adhesive on opposite faces. After the workpieces have been fastened together, the positioning tool is removed from the first workpiece by the adhesive being softened through application of heat or a solvent.

    Abstract: A golf ball tee setting device holds a tee at its bottom end and has opposite side edges which extend upwardly and outwardly and merge into upwardly and outwardly extending shoulders for engaging the top edge of the striking face of different golf club heads. The side edges of the device extend at angles to the vertical corresponding to the angles of the club head faces, with one side edge matching up with 1-2-3 woods and the opposite side edge corresponding to 4-5 woods.

    Abstract: A housing includes a pendulum having a window registerable with either of spaced apart indicia depending on what side of a ladder a housing is mounted to indicate the ladder is positioned at a safe angle against a vertical support. Wording on the pendulum is readable with wording in the spaced apart indicia to further indicate the ladder is at a safe angle. The pendulum is pointed at its lower end to register with third indicia positioned between the spaced apart indicia to indicate that the ladder is on a level surface.
