  • Patent number: 6935327
Abstract: A handle and light assembly for use on a barbecue grill. The assembly is inclusive of handle and at least one source of illumination for illuminating a cooking surface inside a hollow cooking chamber of the barbecue grill. The handle may function both as a means for opening a lid to access the cooking surface and also as a compartment for retaining the energy used to power the source of illumination. The lid includes at least one channel for the appropriate wiring to extend from the energy compartment to the illumination source. Accordingly, the handle may be located on the outside of the grill lid, and the source of illumination may be located inside the hollow cooking chamber.

  • Patent number: 6131773
Abstract: An antiseptic soap dispenser (A) is mounted to a wall by a secure mounting system (E). A latching and locking mechanism (D) inhibits tampering with the dispenser or theft of a replaceable soap reservoir (B), received within a dispenser housing (C). The housing includes a front cover (18) pivotally connected to a back plate (20). The mounting mechanism (E) removably mounts the back plate of the housing to a wall mounting plate (24), which is attached by screws or other fixing means to a wall or other suitable mounting surface. The back plate includes mounting tabs (172) which engage a corresponding releasable engagement portion (170) on the mounting plate to secure the housing to the mounting plate. A latch plate (60), is movably carried by the back plate. The latch plate provides the latching and locking mechanism (D) which releasably locks the housing in a manner which is not readily obvious to a casual observer, yet which avoids the need for a key.

  • Patent number: 6065821
Abstract: An adjustable shelf is able to be initially attached to support structure within a storage area of a cabinet at any one of a multitude of vertical heights and then can be readily, mechanically adjusted to reposition the shelf as desired. In one embodiment, the shelf includes a pair of sprockets which are interengaged with mating slots formed in a pair of similarly constructed and laterally spaced support rails positioned within the cabinet. The drive arrangement for the sprockets can be manually, electrically or otherwise driven to provide infinite adjustments for the vertical shelf. When an electrical power motor is utilized as the drive source, the motor is preferably mounted upon a frame of the shelf and electrical power is transmitted to the motor through, at least in part, the support rail structure.

  • Patent number: 5704572
Abstract: A method and apparatus for retaining a body member with a load member fastened to a mounting surface by a support member. The load member includes a contact surface engageable by the support member, and the body member includes a throughhole for receiving at least a portion of the load member. A breakable flash connection couples the load member to the body member so that at least a portion of the load member is disposed in the throughhole of the body member. The flash connection is breakable upon moving the load member relative to the body member with the support member in contact with the contact surface of the load member, wherein the load member retains the body member and isolates the body member from stress imparted by the support member to reduce deformation of the body member. The body member may be a part of a panel or be configured with clips for retaining other articles. The apparatus preferably is a unitary member formed of a molded plastic material.
