  • Publication number: 20240092500
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for receiving data related to a first flight risk factor and a second flight risk factor where the first and second risk factors include one of: a proficiency risk factor, an equipment risk factor, an environmental risk factor, or a performance risk factor. Applying a first weighting to the first flight risk factor to generate a first weighted flight risk factor, and applying a second weighting to the second flight risk factor to generate a second weighted flight risk factor. Assessing a flight risk level for a flight based on the first weighted flight risk factor and the second weighted flight risk factor. • Patent number: 4749333
Abstract: An improved vane platform feather seal is disclosed for use in turbine engines. This feather seal contains a flat, thin feather seal, which is attached by adhesive to ease assembly to an L-shaped retainer plate to result in a combined thickness of 0.032 inches. This new seal may be used to replace the inner vane platform seals which are currently used in F-100 turbine engines, which have a history of not bending easily to conform to seal slots. The new seal provides improved platform sealing without loss of platform retention in the event of vane burn through.

  • Patent number: 4498790
Abstract: Adjacent cylindrical bearings disposed within a wall are prevented from rotating and moving axially by a sheet metal tablock which simultaneously engages a slot in the external surfaces of each bearing. A cap fits around each bearing, and a flange on each cap overlies the tablock. Tab ends of the tablock are folded over the flange and trap the tablock in position.
