  • Publication number: 20180257440
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a system and method for managing tire pressure for a trailer. A controller may be configured to manage communications between a vehicle and a trailer. A tire pressure management system module to be mounted on the trailer may be operatively connected to the controller by a tow connector. The tire pressure management system module may be configured to receive tire pressure information from at least one sensor operatively associated with at least one tire of the trailer, and transmit messages to the controller based on the tire pressure information, wherein the controller triggers a notification when at least one of the messages indicates a tire pressure that fails to meet a criteria.

  • Patent number: 9757994
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for monitoring a communicative connection with a trailer. Messages transmitted between a tire pressure management module of a trailer and a controller of a vehicle may be monitored. A notification may be triggered when the controller has not received a message from the tire pressure management module during at least a predetermined period of time.

  • Patent number: 8510020
Abstract: Controlling a vehicle responsive to reductant conditions is provided. The method for controlling a vehicle having an engine with an exhaust, the exhaust having a reductant injection system including a reductant storage vessel, the engine further having a fuel system including a fuel storage vessel, may include under degraded reductant conditions, restricting vehicle motion in response to a fuel refill of the fuel storage vessel.

  • Patent number: 6750762
Abstract: A tire pressure monitoring system (12) for a vehicle (10) includes a warning status memory (26) having warning statuses therein and a plurality of tires (14a, b, c and d) in respective rolling locations, each of said plurality of tires having a transmitter (90). When one of the tires has been filled with air, the controller (22) receives a pressure signal from one of the tire transmitters generated in response to a predetermined increase in pressure. The controller (22) clears the warning statuses from the warning status memory (26) when the pressure signal is in a normal range and, thereafter monitors the tires in the rolling locations and generates warning statuses therefor.
