Abstract: A magnetic window seal assembly for frameless and full flush window systems of automotive vehicles comprises a flexible sealing strip having a compressible body portion with a first magnetic element embedded therein mounted to the vehicle body. A complementary second magnetic element is provided on the lateral edge of the window being sealed. When in sealing engagement with the windowpane and the vehicle, the body portion of sealing strip is compressively tapered along its length, being more tapered or compressed at the roofline than at the beltline of the vehicle. The tapered configuration of the sealing strip and its compressibility at the beltline accommodates transverse or lateral inward movement of the beltline edge of the windowpane to allow the opening of the window by a camming mechanism without undue compressive resistance to such action.

Abstract: An integrated window frame and glass run channel for a door of an automotive vehicle has an elongated core having opposite ends adapted to be attached within an interior of a vehicle door. The core is generally "U"-shaped in cross section with a pair of legs joined by a web. The web and one of the legs are hollow and receive a structural pillar at each end of the core. An elastomeric cover is bonded to the core and provides a glass run channel adapted to slidably receive edge portions of a window pane.

Abstract: The present invention is a weather seal adapted to be secured on a flange of a vehicle to seal a gap between the flange and a panel member. The weather seal includes retaining members for retaining the weather seal on the flange and a trim lip for sealing the gap between the flange and panel member. The weather seal also includes a lip repositioning device for repositioning the trim lip to seal the gap when the trim lip is disposed in the gap.

The core member comprises a plurality of longitudinally spaced clamping clips and a plurality of laterally spaced fibers attached to the clips to allow the core to flex longitudinally and laterally.

Abstract: A glass run channel molding for automobile windows has a "U"-shaped cross-section portion and an "L"-shaped cross-section portion which cooperate to form a mounting channel and a glass run channel. A tubular biasing and sealing element is disposed in the glass run channel to bias a window edge against an opposing leg of the glass run channel.

Abstract: A gasket system has a gasket adapted to be secured about an opening. The gasket includes a mechanism for retaining and sealing a window or the like. The gasket is positioned about the opening such that when the window is positioned within the opening, the window substantially conceals the gasket and is flush at its perimeter with the opening.

Abstract: A glass reveal molding having a C-shaped clamping portion which applies a substantially even pressure on the windshield is disclosed. The equalized pressure of the clamping portion will substantially eliminate gapping around the radius and retain the molding on the windshield without gapping or rolling on the molding. The molding may include a mechanism to enable increased bonding area of the molding and the windshield. Also, the molding may include a metallic strip with one or more fingers forming one of the legs of the C-shaped retaining member. Also, a member to secure the molding onto the vehicle body may be included with the molding.

Abstract: A seal member has a sealing portion, length control members and a heat activated member securing the length control members to the sealing portion. The length control members prevent excessive elongation of the sealing members during installation when the sealing member is applied by automated equipment.
