  • Patent number: 11674365
Abstract: A battery shuttle method uses a portable battery shuttle for delivering backup power to an electric well service rig operating in a well field that includes multiple wells. The electric well service rig has a rechargeable rig power pack for powering the rig's electric hoist. The electric hoist is used for removing and installing a wellstring within a chosen well. The battery shuttle has a rechargeable shuttle power pack for recharging the rig power pack when needed. The battery shuttle can travel back and forth between the electric well service rig and a charging station. The charging station is used for recharging the shuttle power pack.

  • Patent number: 6056540
Abstract: A pilot and thermocouple mounting bracket for supporting a thermocouple and for supporting a pilot and pilot shield adjacent a burner includes a central plate member and a plurality of tabs attached to the central plate member. At least some of the tabs include apertures for receiving the thermocouple and the pilot and are bent in various configurations enabling the pilot to be supported in a substantially horizontal orientation relative to the burner. A locking tab forms part of the mounting bracket and is engageable with the pilot shield to eliminate the possibility of misplacing the pilot shield. By supporting the pilot in a substantially horizontal orientation relative to the burner, dust is prevented from building up in and around the pilot shield, and cleaning and lighting the pilot is made easier.

  • Patent number: 5947059
Abstract: Disclosed is a gas-fired chick brooder having an improved radiant which prevents reflector pan warpage and increases the efficiency of the brooder. The radiant comprising conventional fibrous ceramic is provided with a radial extension intermediate its lower and upper portions. The radial extension extends the radiant at least towards and in a preferred embodiment in contact with the perforated glow housing. This reduces or, in the preferred embodiment, prevents the flow of combustion gases into the region of the connection between the perforated glow housing and the reflector pan thereby preventing warpage of the reflector pan and improving the efficiency of operation.
