  • Patent number: 6561470
Abstract: In a system for treating object surfaces, a first and a second object hanger, each comprising a plate and a shaft, are mounted upon an object such as a door that requires a surface treatment such as painting. The mounted object hangers may be placed into supporting braces on a treatment apparatus, whereupon the object can be rotated into a desired position. A positioning attachment upon each supporting brace selectively maintains the object in the desired position. Following surface treatment, the mounted object hangers may be placed into storage braces on a storage apparatus, such that any treated object surfaces may dry or cure. One storage brace includes an anchoring insert, which keeps an object hanger, and hence the object attached thereto, in a predetermined position. The storage apparatus may accommodate multiple objects in a side-by-side manner.

  • Patent number: 5239627
Abstract: A parallel interface connects a data processor and a printer so that each may transmit information to the other or receive information from the other. The transmitted information from the data processor can be data or status signals. The data or status signals are transmitted over the same eight information lines between the data processor and the printer with a predetermined signal being sent over another line from the data processor to the printer prior to transmission over the eight lines to identify whether the transmitted information is data or status signals. The printer sends status signals to the data processor over the same eight information lines after sending a predetermined signal to the data processor over a further line that it is going to transmit.

  • Patent number: 5222200
Abstract: Printer (1) monitors current control language being interpreted for end of page and end of job codes, depending upon the language. Upon observing such commands, up to 500 bytes in buffer memory (19) are observed for command codes characteristic of specific languages. ASCII language is recognized by any one of several command codes, many of which have ESC. PostScript language is recognized by any one of several commands including the ASCII sequence of the percent sign. PCL4 or PCL5 and pen movement graphics languages are also recognized. Operator intervention and special coding defining the language are completely avoided.

  • Patent number: 5001653
Abstract: A printer receives and stores coded text character data (22, 23) and also receives graphic image commands in the same datastream. The printer creates a raster image (24) of the graphic image commands and stores the resultant raster image. When rasterizing a page (21), the printer rasterizes the text character data utilizing stored raster fonts and rasterizes the graphic image data from the stored raster image.
