Patent number: 11334224Abstract: A single-page application of a content provider is associated with a smart page established on an experiment system to allow a variation test to be performed on the single-page application. The smart page is associated with a trigger that determines when one or more corresponding conditions of the single-page application should be evaluated. Responsive to one or more of the conditions of the single-page application being satisfied, either an original version of the single-page web page or a variant of the single-page web page may be displayed.Type: GrantFiled: January 29, 2019Date of Patent: May 17, 2022Assignee: Optimizely, Inc.Inventors: Whelan Jefferson Boyd, Zachary Leach, James Frazier Fox

Patent number: 11232474Abstract: A method of avoiding infinite loops of changes to a dynamic web page to display on a client device includes displaying the dynamic web page received from a content provider on the client device, wherein the dynamic web page comprises a modified element having an original modification. The method further includes receiving an indication that the modified element was updated to generate an updated modified element. The method further includes, in response to receiving the indication, determining, by a processing device, that reapplying the original modification to the updated modified element would result in an infinite loop on the dynamic web page. The method further includes, based on the determination, displaying the updated modified element on the dynamic without reapplying the original modification to the updated modified element.Type: GrantFiled: May 13, 2019Date of Patent: January 25, 2022Assignee: Optimizely, Inc.Inventors: Nikhil Eshwar Chelliah, James Frazier Fox

Publication number: 20130275765Abstract: A system, method, and computer program product for automatically providing a document sender with full real-time control over a recipient's document content access rights, even after delivery is completed. A sender creates original content and defines access rights for a selected recipient identified by username or email address. The document and rights are encrypted and sent to a server, which transmits a notification to the recipient including instructions on how to acquire the content. The recipient downloads the document content with an embodiment, and may use the received document according to the current access rights, which are verified with a server upon opening the document and may control document viewing, printing, and usage time limits. The sender may alter or revoke access rights at any time, and may monitor recipient document usage in detail. Secondary authentication, electronic commerce, and Bates stamping are enabled for application, enterprise, and point-to-point embodiments.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 12, 2012Publication date: October 17, 2013Inventor: JAMES FRAZIER LAY

Patent number: 7808718Abstract: An afocal Galilean attachment lens is disclosed, with the lens comprising, along an optical axis, a first lens group with overall negative optical power and a second lens group with overall positive power. The first and second lens groups are arranged to define a Galilean configuration. The lens also has exit and an entrance pupils with respective diameters DEX and DEN that define a pupil magnification PM=DEX/DEN>4 and in some embodiments PM>10. The afocal Galilean attachment lens also has a length parameter defined LP>200 and in some embodiments LP>700. The extreme length of the afocal Galilean attachment allows for photographing or filming objects that are remote or otherwise hard to photograph while also providing a relatively large depth of field.Type: GrantFiled: April 27, 2009Date of Patent: October 5, 2010Assignee: FM-Assets Pty LtdInventors: James A. Publication number: 20070132638Abstract: A collision avoidance system and method is based on receiving and processing Mode-S transponder messages without interrogating the transponders of the respective aircraft flying in formation. A collision avoidance computer and Mode-S transponder are used to provide distributed intra-formation control among multiple cells of aircraft flying in formation or close-in. The Mode-S transponder provides ADS-B Global Positioning System (GPS) squitter data to the computer. A mission computer is coupled to the collision avoidance computer. The mission computer may provide steering commands transmitted to other formation member aircraft. The method and system allow a safe separation between 2 to 250 aircraft flying in formation at selectable ranges.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 3, 2007Publication date: June 14, 2007Inventors: James Frazier, Kenneth Jongsma, James Sturdy

Publication number: 20020154061Abstract: A passive Traffic Alert and Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) and method is based on receiving and processing Mode-S transponder messages without the TCAS computer having to interrogate the transponders of the respective aircraft flying in formation (i.e., a passive TCAS). A TCAS computer and Mode-S transponder are used to provide distributed intra-formation control among multiple cells of aircraft flying in formation or close-in. The Mode-S transponder provides ADS-B Global Positioning System (GPS) squitter data to the TCAS computer; the TCAS computer receives and processes the data without having to interrogate the transponders of the multiple cells of aircraft. Patent number: 6415447Abstract: An article of clothing, such as a hand covering, and method of making the same results in a leakproof and breathable article of clothing with good dexterity. The hand covering includes a body cavity for covering a palm and a dorsum of a hand and at least one seamed finger cavity, extending from the body cavity, for covering at least one finger. The finger cavity has a base adjacent the body cavity and a tip opposite the base. A seam extends between and includes the area of the base and the tip. A cut may be made in the hand covering so that a component of a tape sealing machine may be inserted therein to support the seam to be sealed. Once this seam is sealed, the cut is seamed and sealed. The hand covering may therefore sealed using a single tape sealing machine to effectively seal all seams while minimizing manufacturing costs.Type: GrantFiled: November 24, 1999Date of Patent: July 9, 2002Assignee: The Burton CorporationInventor: James Frazier
