  • Patent number: 11975943
Abstract: In a handrail including a carcass, a stretch inhibitor within the carcass, and a sliding layer bonded to the carcass, at least a portion of the carcass has a gas phase dispersed in a solid polymer matrix. The gas phase can reduce a density of the carcass by at least 5% or 10%, or about 15%, as compared to a density of the polymer matrix. The carcass can have a generally uniform distribution of gas bubbles in the polymer matrix, which can define a generally closed cell structure in the polymer matrix. The gas phase can be formed of particles of a syntactic foam dispersed in the polymer matrix. The handrail can further include a cover. The carcass and the cover can be formed of thermoplastic materials, and the cover can represent between 10 and 30% of the overall TPU required for the handrail.

  • Publication number: 20240143057
Abstract: A voltage regulator system of an information handling system includes a Smart Power Stage (SPS) and a voltage regulator controller. The SPS includes a high-side transistor and a low-side transistor. The voltage regulator controller detects a normal power down of the information handling system and sets bleed state for the SPS to a first state. Based on the bleed state being set to the first state, the voltage regulator controller provides a first control voltage to the low-side transistor and a second control voltage to the high-side transistor. The first control voltage causes the low-side transistor to be fully turned on, and the second control voltage causes the high-side transistor to be in a linear region. In response to a predetermined amount of time expiring, the voltage regulator controller enters the SPS in an idle mode.

  • Publication number: 20240112920
Abstract: Cyclic etch methods comprise the steps of: i) exposing a SiN layer covering a structure on a substrate in a reaction chamber to a plasma of hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) to form a polymer layer deposited on the SiN layer that modifies the surface of the SiN layer, the HFC having a formula CxHyFz where x=2-5, y>z, the HFC being a saturated or unsaturated, linear or cyclic HFC; ii) exposing the polymer layer deposited on the SiN layer to a plasma of an inert gas, the plasma of the inert gas removing the polymer layer deposited on the SiN layer and the modified surface of the SiN layer on an etch front; and iii) repeating the steps of i) and ii) until the SiN layer on the etch front is selectively removed, thereby forming a substantially vertically straight SiN spacer comprising the SiN layer on the sidewall of the structure.

  • Publication number: 20240078754
Abstract: In one embodiment, a computing system may access a first image of a first portion of a face of a user captured by a first camera from a first viewpoint and a second image of a second portion of the face captured by a second camera from a second viewpoint. The system may generate, using a machine-learning model and the first and second images, a synthesized image corresponding to a third portion of the face of the user as viewed from a third viewpoint. The system may access a three-dimensional (3D) facial model representative of the face and generate a texture image for the face by projecting at least the synthesized image onto the 3D facial model from a predetermined camera pose corresponding to the third viewpoint. The system may cause an output image to be rendered using at least the 3D facial model and the texture image.

  • Publication number: 20230039935
Abstract: Provided are methods for scalable and realistic camera blockage dataset generation, which can include generating synthetic images depicting a blockage on or near an imaging sensor. The synthetic images may be created by combining one or more chroma key-extracted partial blockage image with one or more background images, the combination of which can provide a scalable blockage dataset. Metadata for each synthetic image can be generated along with the synthetic image, by annotating the portion of the synthetic image represented by the chroma key-extracted partial blockage image as constituting blockage. The synthetic images can be used to increase the accuracy of machine learning models trained to identify blockage by increasing the volume of data available for such training.

Abstract: Provided are methods for learning to identify safety-critical scenarios for autonomous vehicles. First state information representing a first state of a driving scenario is received. The information includes a state of a vehicle and a state of an agent in the vehicle's environment. The first state information is processed with a neural network to determine at least one action to be performed by the agent, including a perception degradation action causing misperception of the agent by a perception system of the vehicle. Second state information representing a second state of the driving scenario is received after performance of the at least one action. A reward for the action is determined. First and second distances between the vehicle and the agent are determined and compared to determine the reward for the at least one action. At least one weight of the neural network is adjusted based on the reward.
