Abstract: A computer readable media, a method, and a system registering a third party application providing an available communication system between a local user and a remote user identity, storing information related to the available communication system in a first database, obtaining contact information for the remote user identity from the third party application, determining a communication type for the third party application, pairing the remote user identity with a contact, and updating a graphical representation of contact information.

Abstract: A virtual tape library management system provides multiple, simultaneous accesses to the content stored on a single virtual tape. The virtual tape library management system receives a first request to access the content of a virtual tape. Responsive to the first request, the virtual tape library management system provides access to the virtual tape. While the virtual tape is being accessed, the virtual tape library management system receives a second request to read the same virtual tape. In response, the virtual tape library management system creates a shadow virtual tape corresponding to the virtual tape, maps the shadow virtual tape to the content of the virtual tape, and provides access to the shadow virtual tape.

Abstract: An advertising system using digital media collects information from a plurality of sources, automatically processes the information based on set of predetermined criteria, and provides processed information to a plurality of information and advertising display devices. The advertising system allows the information feed provided to each of the display devices to be customized based on a rule set so that the information displayed on each section of a particular display device is customized according to predetermined criteria. The advertising system also allows a user of a particular display device to provide local information that to be displayed in a section of that particular display device.

Abstract: In one aspect, the present invention provides a load-bearing structure with a novel interlocking edge. Also provided is a method of making a load-bearing structure having an overlapping edge, in which structural members are combined so that a stepped-down lip of one structural member covers a peripheral edge of another member. Also provided is a load-bearing structure having cellular structure and which is useful with or without an overlapping edge. In addition, there is provided a molding method for making cellular, load-bearing structures.

Abstract: The present invention provides a novel filament coating process. Useful filaments include high strength, reinforcing fiber such as fiberglass. By the process, a filament bundle is transversely spread and individual filaments are coated. In a particular application, pultruded rod may be advantageously made from the coated filament.

Abstract: A combination uterine manipulative and injector device having a multi-lumen catheter for uterine insertion having an inflatable member at its insertable end which when inflated seals the lower portion of the uterus to retain fluid or gas injected into the uterine cavity and contributes to attachment of the device to the uterus. A handle in place on the catheter has a fixed stop engageable with the external os of the cervix to limit catheter insertion. The inflatable member is shaped to prevent catheter tip contact with the uterine wall and to urge the stop into biased engagement with the cervix to effect secure attachment of the device to the uterus enabling manual positioning of the uterus by the device for examination purposes.

Abstract: Disclosed is an integrated transistor logic circuit (ITL) comprising complementary bipolar transistors. A PNP transistor injects current into the base of an NPN transistor when this current is not steered away. The base of the PNP transistor and the emitter of the NPN transistor are connected in common to a fixed source of potential. The collector of the NPN transistor is formed in common with the collector regions of one or more output transistors while the base region of the NPN transistor is formed in common with the base regions of the output transistors. The one or more output transistors are operated in the inverted mode providing an output signal at their respective emitter regions.

Abstract: A pneumatic muffler providing within the cavity formed by its conical-like shell a proportionate expansion chamber in immediate communication with an exhaust port and an integrally related quiescent chamber reducing in volume for cushioning the introduced volume of exhaust so as to convert the same into a passive modulated acoustical pressure wave, which is then exhausted into the ambient atmosphere.
