Patent number: 11488112Abstract: A system may include a number of records in a database associated with a number of activities to be performed by a first user. The system may also include a processor that may receive a request comprising information regarding a second user and an activity to be performed by the first user, identify a plurality of pre-defined message templates based on the request, and receive a selection of one of the plurality of pre-defined message templates. The processor may then generate message text incorporating the one of the plurality of pre-defined message templates for review and display via an electronic display, such that the message text is electronically stored in a dialogue window. The processor may display the message text in the dialogue in response to receiving an approval of the message.Type: GrantFiled: June 15, 2021Date of Patent: November 1, 2022Assignee: ServiceNow, Inc.Inventors: Lucinda Foss, Harshitha Kota Ram Gopal, Kenneth James Hamer, Akhilesh Kondra

Patent number: 10990929Abstract: The present approach relates to providing targeted content to a user (e.g., employee) of an enterprise. In certain implementations, the present techniques involve receiving filter data (e.g., data identifying an employee) from a user and providing content in the form of knowledge blocks to a user based on metadata of the knowledge blocks that is associated with the filter data. In other implementations, the present techniques involve receiving trigger data (e.g., data of an employee satisfying a condition) and providing a set of activities (e.g., social activities or work related) to a user based on the trigger data.Type: GrantFiled: May 4, 2018Date of Patent: April 27, 2021Assignee: ServiceNow, Inc.Inventors: Harshitha Kota Ram Gopal, Kenneth James Hamer, Lucinda Kathryn Foss, Anil Kumar Bathula, Ismail Sencan, Harivijay Srikanth Gunuru, Regis Michel Cridlig, Akhilesh Kondra, Kaho Lee, Sarup Paul, Maria Svoisky Goldberg

Patent number: 8840596Abstract: A system and method for more efficient cleaning and sterilizing of surgical handpieces by using a removable valve assembly. The valve assembly is removable to provide access to a first suction passageway and a second suction passageway for cleaning purposes. The valve assembly has a protrusion that engages with a handpiece to secure the assembly to the handpiece. The protrusion of the valve assembly may also be retracted into the valve assembly to allow the valve assembly to disengage the handpiece thereby allowing the valve assembly to be removed from the handpiece. The first suction passageway may also be removable.Type: GrantFiled: May 19, 2010Date of Patent: September 23, 2014Assignee: Arthrex, Inc.Inventors: Kevin J. Stanton, James Hamer, Philip S. Patent number: 8674568Abstract: A machine includes a high voltage element and an enclosure surrounding the high voltage element. The enclosure includes a first insulating insert disposed at least partially within a first wall and being electrically non-conductive and surrounding a first conductive insert and an enclosure cover formed at least partially of an electrically non-conducting substrate and having a first opening formed therein sized to allow a first fastener or an extension of the first conductive insert to pass through it. Removal of the enclosure cover causes the high high-voltage element to cease operating.Type: GrantFiled: January 23, 2012Date of Patent: March 18, 2014Assignee: Remy Technologies, L.L.C.Inventors: Colin James Hamer, Brad D. Chamberlin

Publication number: 20140009013Abstract: An electric machine is disclosed having a stator and a rotor, the stator comprising one or more windings that “turn” between passes through the stator. The turn portions of the windings are cast within a heat-conductive material such as aluminum that conducts heat away from the turn portions. The casting also defines a cavity for the flow of a heat-carrying fluid (such as water) to remove heat more efficiently from the turn portions. In some embodiments, the windings are electrically insulated (for example, using a ceramic insulator) before the casting.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 6, 2012Publication date: January 9, 2014Applicant: REMY TECHNOLOGIES, LLCInventors: Brad Chamberlin, Colin James Hamer

Patent number: 8220478Abstract: A main control valve is actuated by a pilot fluid control signal between open and closed positions to supply fluid to an actuator such as a valve actuator. A stack of logic control valves is supported on the main valve- and controls the flow of the pilot signal. Each of the logic control valves has a housing of common design. Intermediate flow-directing plates of different designs provide fluid communication between adjacent housings. The stack has a common pilot feed passage and a common exhaust passage that are each defined by an annular clearance around supporting tie bars that pass through bores in the stack. Each plate has apertures that form part of the exhaust and pilot feed passages and an aperture that interconnects the returning pilot signal with the pilot inlet of the next valve in the stack. The arrangement allows for simplification of the design of the apparatus with a single housing design and multiple plate designs.Type: GrantFiled: November 28, 2007Date of Patent: July 17, 2012Assignee: Bifold Fluidpower LimitedInventors: Peter James Hamer, James Fishwick
