Publication number: 20140258832Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide an interactive, computer implemented and networked system and method for editing highly structured XML-based documents adapted for online journal publication. The present invention is capable of handling multimedia rich content while enforcing protection of highly structured elements to maintain document integrity through the proofing process. Embodiments of the present invention thus provide a graphical user interface (“GUI”) to facilitate the proof/editing process, which not only enforces the highly structured element protection, but also provides author-users with a familiar, word processor-like experience while eliminating the need for annotated PDF documents to preserve the structured content.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 11, 2013Publication date: September 11, 2014Inventors: Michael James Hepp, Charles William O'Connor, Antony Muthu Raja Gnanapiragasam, William Clarke

Patent number: 5381908Abstract: The device is a shelf organizer. A clip portion slidably snap engages inwardly facing tracks of a grocery shelf. A post portion attached by a living hinge to the clip portion extends vertically therefrom. The post portion snap engages a planar shelf divider and includes a slot through which a tongue portion of the planar shelf divider passes. The tongue portion includes a flat surface onto which prices and product information may be affixed.Type: GrantFiled: September 20, 1993Date of Patent: January 17, 1995Assignee: All Stock Displays Inc.Inventor: James Hepp

Patent number: 5335814Abstract: The device includes a tray for bottles, particularly two-liter soda bottles, wherein the bottle retaining pockets include raised portions for engaging, and thereby being supported by, the caps of the bottles from a lower tray. The tray includes vertical channels with a stop element to allow rods to be inserted between the trays to support the trays at a given distance from one another in a display configuration. The tray further includes male and female elements for the locking nestable configuration of successive empty trays.Type: GrantFiled: August 9, 1993Date of Patent: August 9, 1994Assignee: All Stock Displays Inc.Inventor: James Hepp

Patent number: 4628625Abstract: An improved knockdown tray assembly which is capable of supporting heavier loads than the tray assembly of my companion co-pending patent application Ser. No. 639,045, using paperboard or cardboard trays and supporting members. The tray supporting members are of a new construction and are formed of inverted U-shaped beams which are provided at the center of each beam with interfitting pivot structure. The interfitting pivot structure is formed by providing a pin in a shallow wall molding on the bottom U-beam and a socket which has a much greater elevation on the upper U-beam, the shallow beam and deep socket improving the stability of the interfitting pivot portion of the beams thereby preventing any unintended disengagement of the pivot and socket element.Type: GrantFiled: March 18, 1986Date of Patent: December 16, 1986Inventor: James Hepp

Patent number: 4593825Abstract: A knockdown tray assembly which is capable of supporting heavy loads, using paperboard or cardboard trays and supporting members. The tray supporting members are of a new construction and are formed of inverted U-shaped beams which are provided at the center of each beam with interfitting pivot structure. The interfitting pivot structure is formed by providing a pin in a shallow wall molding on the bottom U-beam and a socket which has a much greater elevation on the upper U-beam, the shallow beam and deep socket improving the stability of the interfitting pivot portion of the beams thereby preventing any unintended disengagement of the pivot and socket element. Also trays are utilized in which the circular openings are ordinarily provided within the corners and at the bottom of each tray to accommodate the circular posts are modified to provide trays which are relatively long. The placement of the circular openings for the sockets is determined by the dimensions of the interfitted U-beams.Type: GrantFiled: June 7, 1985Date of Patent: June 10, 1986Inventor: James Hepp

Patent number: 4579233Abstract: A knockdown tray assembly comprising a plurality of horizontal rectangular trays made of paperboard or cardboard from a one-piece blank and supporting members formed by interfitting a T-beam bracing member over a comparable T-beam by the interfitting of a pin on the top of the beam with a socket at the bottom beam at the center, these beams serving as a cross brace below the tray and each of the beams having a double socket at the end with a supporting web, these double sockets adapted to receive tubular members which are supported on the webs. The sockets each have a flange and each of the trays has a hole cut out at the corners for the insertion of the socket. Tubular posts fit in each socket above and below the trays to form the assembled rack useful for storage or display.Type: GrantFiled: August 9, 1984Date of Patent: April 1, 1986Inventor: James Hepp

Patent number: 4428487Abstract: A sectional display rack comprising a novel construction of horizontal rectangular trays and support legs, each tray and leg formed of plastic, wherein both upper and lower sides on each tray bottom wall are formed with upstanding ribs defining a space between the rib and the side wall into which a wing portion of each support leg is fitted and in which wedge shaped cams are provided on side walls of the tray to lock in corresponding recess or groove portions in the wing portions of the supporting leg to lock the leg in position. A spaced apart pair of wedge shaped cams is provided in each wall and the cams in the upper wall portion above the floor of the tray are offset from those cams formed in the lower wall. The advantages of these upright rib projections on the bottom walls and the locking tabs in the side walls in the tray are to provide a stable rack and to permit a low cost molding operation for manufacturing the attachment means comprising ribs, cams and recesses above and below the tray floor.Type: GrantFiled: April 15, 1982Date of Patent: January 31, 1984Inventor: James Hepp

Patent number: 4374406Abstract: A lightweight attachment for a solar cell array in combination with spacing means for spacing the array consisting of a plurality of solar cells on a support next to a fluorescent tube to provide thereby a power package which is fitted with conductors to connect the solar cells in series to a remote motor adapted for the rotation of a remote display. A holding means is provided for the support to hold it close to the tube, which holding means may be a magnetic tape. The holding means may be a flexible strap having a tooth portion at the sides of the strap, the tooth sides being adapted to holding the support in closely spaced relation with the plurality of solar cells directly below the fluorescent tube. Spacing means is provided to fix the spacing between the surface of the cells on the support and the tube. Since there is no tension from the conductors and no substantial weight to dislodge the fluorescent tube due to the cells or support, the power package overcomes the safety hazards of the prior art.Type: GrantFiled: July 10, 1981Date of Patent: February 15, 1983Inventor: James Hepp
