  • Patent number: 11939709
Abstract: Articles of wear having one or more textiles that include a low processing temperature polymeric composition and a high processing temperature polymeric composition, and methods of manufacturing the same are disclosed. The low processing temperature polymeric composition and the high processing temperature polymeric composition can be selectively incorporated into a textile to provide one or more structural properties and/or other advantageous properties to the article. The textile can be thermoformed to impart such structural and/or other advantageous properties to the article of wear. This abstract is intended as a scanning tool for purposes of searching in the particular art and is not intended to be limiting of the present disclosure.

  • Patent number: 4958691
Abstract: A downhole oil well tool uses impact, reciprocal drilling and an improved rotating bit or like working member, receiving both fluid pressure and weight from an elongated pipe string with a flow bore in order to drive the tool. A valve within tool housing controls fluid pressure to the working end so that the tool pressures up, then releases pressure through the working member allowing the pipe string to load the bit, creating impact. A clutch rotates the working member during drilling to prevent imprint upon the formation.

  • Patent number: 4702325
Abstract: Apparatus for driving casing, piles, or conductor pipe into the ground comprises in combination; an external reciprocal impact driving means supported atop the conductor pipe, internal rotatable drilling means supported within the conductor pipe, and means associated therewith for introducing air and water under pressure for creating a pressure differential to evacuate the drilling debris and cuttings to the surface. The drilling means is supported within said conductor pipe at the bottom portion thereof near the point of least energy absorption and rebound. The driving and drilling operations may be performed simultaneously or sequentially.

  • Patent number: 4662784
Abstract: Disclosed in a method of and apparatus for lowering pipe strings and other objects, particularly pipe strings carrying anodes for cathotic protection, into and through the support structure of an offshore plateform. Skid beams are inserted into the support structure of the offshore platform below the top deck of the platform and above the water level, preferably at the plus twelve level of the structure. Mounted to the skid beams are winch and derrick means. The skid beams are inserted into the structure such that the winch and derrick means are positioned over the point at which the pipe string is to be lowered through the structure. The skid beams cantilever out from the structure such that they extend well beyond the outside perimeter of the top deck. The skid beams also serve as track for a trolley. Pipe string sections can be delivered to the trolley either from the top deck of the platform or directly from a barge.

  • Patent number: 4592422
Abstract: A hanger apparatus inserted into the earth and from which the drill casing of a well is hung comprising a central sleeve having a plurality of structural arms extending outwardly therefrom, each terminating in a pile sleeve. A plurality of pipe joints, welded end to end are hammered into the earth through each of the pile sleeves thus "nailing" the central sleeve in fixed position in the earth mass surrounding it. As the pile is driven downwardly through each pile sleeve means it is driven progressively radially outwardly from the central sleeve means so that the piles define a pyramidal mass of earth therewithin that locks the central sleeve still further within the earthen mass. The casing ultimately is affixed such as by welding, to the central sleeve.

  • Patent number: 4462471
Abstract: Disclosed is a bidirectional fluid operated jarring apparatus. The apparatus includes a tubular body having a lower end defining a downwardly facing body hammer. A tubular knocker sub is axially slidingly mounted to the body adjacent the body hammer and includes an upwardly facing anvil engageable with the body hammer and spaced apart oppositely facing internal hammers, the upper one of which defines an internal anvil. A tubular mandrel having a low passage therethrough is axially movably mounted in the body and knocker sub. The mandrel includes a hammer positioned within the knocker sub between the internal shoulders. A valve is provided for closing the mandrel flow passage so that fluid pressure urges the mandrel axially downwardly with respect to the body and opening the mandrel flow passage upon predetermined downward movement of the mandrel. When the knocker sub is in a retractive position, the apparatus produces a downward jarring force.

  • Patent number: 4446932
Abstract: A method and apparatus for controlling the depth at which deviation occurs of a conductor casing driven vertically into the ocean floor from an offshore oil platform. A retractable shear pin engages both members of an articulated joint inserted between two sections of the conductor casing, thus preventing relative movement and locking it into a uniform vertical alignment. This ambient pressure increases with depth, thereby tending to force the shear pin to retract. Movement of the shear pin is internally prevented until the force exerted by the pressure exceeds a desired precalculated valve. The shear pin disengages from the articulated joint, resulting in deviation of the path of the conductor casing at a remote point.

  • Patent number: 4258800
Abstract: A method and apparatus for deviating a conductor casing, or the like, after it has been driven into a substratum, generally beneath the floor of a body of water. The conductor casing is characterized by a drive shoe assembly on the end thereof having a bevel cut extending therethrough for up to 180 degrees of the circumference thereof, or more, and thereby providing a residual connection characterized as a hinge means. The conductor casing and drive shoe is characterized in operation by an entire linear configuration until they are driven beneath the floor into the substratum, at which time the hinge means allows closure of the distal end through the arc of the bevel cut thereby providing a deviated section which produces directional implacement of the conductor casing.
