Publication number: 20240131479Abstract: Methods and systems for treating a hydrocarbon-bearing formation are provided. A method includes providing a nanogas dispersion comprising a plurality of stable gas-filled cavities dispersed within an electrochemically activated (“ECA”) aqueous solution, the ECA aqueous solution comprising an electrolyte and water; and introducing an effective amount of the nanogas dispersion into the hydrocarbon-bearing formation, wherein the plurality of stable gas-filled cavities of the nanogas dispersion enter into an interstitial space defined as between the hydrocarbon and the hydrocarbon-bearing formation thereby reducing interfacial tension between the hydrocarbon and the hydrocarbon-bearing formation. A system includes a pump configured to introduce the effective amount of the nanogas dispersion into the hydrocarbon-bearing formation; and a recovery device configured to collect the hydrocarbon from the hydrocarbon-bearing formation.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 12, 2023Publication date: April 25, 2024Applicant: Disruptive Oil and Gas Technologies CorpInventors: Gary James Grieco, David Lee Holcomb, Jeffery Kearns Hardin, Leonard Mark Bland

Patent number: 11135643Abstract: A mould-forming and sacrificial materials are printed into a plurality of layers. The sacrificial material is removed to leave a void defined by a mould structure formed by the mould-forming material. The void is filled with a part-forming material to form the part defined by the shape of the mould structure. The mould structure is removed from the part to free the part from the mould structure. According to a further method, the part-forming material serves the purpose of supporting the mould-forming material and then forming the part. In this case, the part-forming material can be printed together with a mould-forming material as described above and are then heated to a temperature of approximately 700° C. to activate a binder and then heated to a temperature that melts the part-forming material.Type: GrantFiled: February 4, 2019Date of Patent: October 5, 2021Assignee: GRID LOGIC INCORPORATEDInventors: Matthew James Holcomb, Ira James Holcomb, Jr.

Publication number: 20070215357Abstract: Apparatus and methods for producing fluids from a well and for controlling the production of fluids from multiple wells, particularly from a remote location. The well is provided with a winch/cable drum having a cable wound thereon with a swabbing tool on the end of the cable. The swabbing tool is initially located in a riser that is mounted to the wellhead and lowered into the well and down through the fluids in the well under control of a programmable logic controller (PLC 95). Upon reaching a pre-determined depth, the PLC 95 stops the rotation of the winch/cable drum and then reverses the direction of rotation to retrieve the swabbing tool, thereby lifting the fluids in the well bore up out of the well. Flowline connections, with appropriate valves, are provided in the riser for routing any gas and oil that is lifted from the well into pipelines and on to storage tanks or separators as the swabbing tool is retrieved.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 22, 2007Publication date: September 20, 2007Inventors: James Holcomb, John Leenerts
