  • Patent number: 11939709
Abstract: Articles of wear having one or more textiles that include a low processing temperature polymeric composition and a high processing temperature polymeric composition, and methods of manufacturing the same are disclosed. The low processing temperature polymeric composition and the high processing temperature polymeric composition can be selectively incorporated into a textile to provide one or more structural properties and/or other advantageous properties to the article. The textile can be thermoformed to impart such structural and/or other advantageous properties to the article of wear. This abstract is intended as a scanning tool for purposes of searching in the particular art and is not intended to be limiting of the present disclosure.

  • Patent number: 8926413
Abstract: A vehicle heating, ventilation and air conditioning system includes a plurality of ducts for providing conditioned air to an interior of a vehicle. The plurality of ducts includes a window defrost duct and a floor duct. The system includes a mixing chamber upstream of the window defrost and floor duct. A damper is selectively controllable to distribute the conditioned air to one or more of the plurality of ducts. The damper is configured so that when in a floor only mode position, the damper directs conditioned air in the mixing chamber only to the floor duct. A bypass conduit is configured to direct air from the floor duct to the window defrost duct when the damper is in the floor-only mode position. The conditioned air directed through the bypass conduit attenuates noise generated in the mixing chamber from emanating to the window defrost duct.

  • Patent number: 8226068
Abstract: A plenum assembly for carrying air in a supply system includes a duct including an opening formed with an inner surface through which air can flow; a door supported for movement between multiple positions which distributes air to the desired output path; and a seal secured to the door. In a vehicles HVAC system, numerous doors are utilized to provide comfort to the passengers based upon user input. The potential exists that some positions of the doors my lead to unwanted noise. A modification to the seal of the door with variable gap widths alleviates this issue and improves satisfaction.

  • Patent number: 7720368
Abstract: The present invention provides a system, method and apparatus for enhancing a projected image to reduce the optical depth of field, and create a more desirable film-like image. The present invention provides a multi-function imaging element for enhancing a projected image that includes a focusing screen that minimizes light hot spots in an image projected on the focusing screen and filters ultraviolet rays. The focusing screen can be static, moving, oscillating or rotating. The ultraviolet rays are filtered using a coating on the focusing screen, or by a separate filter made of glass, plastic or film. Note that the multi-function imaging element can be integrated into an adapter, a camera, a video camera, a projector, a television, a monitor, or other image capture or display device.

  • Publication number: 20030220887
Abstract: A system and method is provided that enables a postal customer to order a shipping label on-line via the internet. The label may be a mailing label to be placed on letters or parcels. The label includes information such as postage, delivery address, return address, and a barcode for tracking delivery information. A user may request both a label and postage in what, to the user, appears to be a single computerized connection on a single internet web-page. A postage indicia is provided through a postage provider with whom the user has a deposit or credit. The label itself may be generated through a label-generating application hosted or generated by an entity separate from the postage provider.

  • Publication number: 20020073312
Abstract: Secure software distribution is initiated by sending software media files to a recipient machine as an attachment to an electronic mail message. The software media files include an installation script that copies the program files and creates the icons necessary to run the application. The recipient opens the electronic mail message in his mail folder and clicks on an installation button to activate execution of the installation script. After successful completion of the installation the script is marked “used” and cannot be used again. Marking of the installation script as “used” also disables the forwarding mechanism of the electronic mail software to prevent the user from accessing a second copy of the software. When the recipient saves the electronic mail message, the “used” flag is set and the script can continue. The installation script stores the encrypted hard drive serial number into the system registry.

  • Patent number: 5801785
Abstract: Disclosed is a method and apparatus for processing two analog composite video signals to be displayed to a human observer. The system includes at least a first and a second video source for generating first and second analog composite video signals respectively, and a selector coupled to the first and second video sources. The selector is operative to supply either the first or second analog composite video signal to one input of a video processor and independently and simultaneously supply either the first or second analog composite video signal to a second input of the video processor. The video processor is operative under control of a CPU to generate an output analog composite video signal comprised of a portion of the analog composite video signal supplied to the video processor's first input and a portion of the analog composite video signal supplied to the video processor's second input.

  • Patent number: 5684392
Abstract: A system supplies power to and controls the frequency of electronic circuitry. The system comprises a DC source for supplying power to the electronic circuitry and a voltage controlled oscillator powered by the DC source. An output of the oscillator provides a system clock for the electronic circuitry such that as a voltage of the DC source continuously drops, the operating voltage of the electronic circuitry and oscillator continuously drops and the frequency of the system clock continuously drops in a manner corresponding to the continuous drop in operating voltage. Thus, the oscillator supplies an operating frequency tailored to the operating voltage to permit the electronic circuitry to operate at high speed.

  • Patent number: 4671708
Abstract: A device for collecting debris from a grinding, polishing, or other work removal operation and for simultaneously cooling the work. A scoop is open at one end and has side walls which taper towards a base. An outlet in the base is connected by a fluid conduit to a debris collection container. A pressurized gas nozzle is mounted to the scoop and has its outlet spaced from the open end of the scoop and directed towards the base of the scoop. During a grinding operation or the like carried out between the nozzle and the open end of the scoop, the gas flow from the nozzle directs debris from the grinding operation to the base outlet, through the conduit and into the debris collection container. A vacuum source is optionally used at the debris collection container to induct debris through the fluid conduit and to the debris collection container. The gas flow from the nozzle also cools the work so that the work can be comfortably handled.
