  • Patent number: 11639008
Abstract: An apparatus and method for cutting blocks of frozen food into irregular shapes comprises a slicer unit carrying a cutting blade and chutes for feeding logs of frozen food to said blade. The chute extends from a chute inlet to a chute outlet, having a central longitudinal axis extending from the center of the chute inlet to center of chute outlet. The cutting blade is positioned below the chute outlets wherein said elongate blocks of processed food are fed into said chute inlet through the chute to the chute outlet, to said blade, said blade sectioning the blocks into smaller pieces. The chutes are angled greater than 15 degrees and less than 90 degrees from the plane of the cutting blade and the chute is rotated about its longitudinal axis between 0 to 180 degrees from a square orientation to the plane of the blade.

  • Patent number: 11564441
Abstract: A shoe including a sole and an upper. The upper is coupled to the sole. The upper includes an outer layer and an inner layer. The outer layer has an outer surface and an inner surface. The inner surface of the outer layer is in direct contact with the inner layer. The outer layer is a hot melt thermoplastic material, and the inner layer is a material different from that of the outer layer. At least a portion of the outer layer is adhered to the inner layer, and the inner layer including a portion not covered by the outer layer.

  • Publication number: 20140001389
Abstract: Axial fluid control valves having linear actuators are described herein. An example axial fluid control valve described herein includes a valve body defining a passageway between an inlet and an outlet. The example axial fluid valve includes a plug linkage assembly movable relative to the axial valve body and along a first axis substantially aligned with the passageway. The example axial fluid valve includes a linear actuator having a stem operatively coupled to the plug linkage assembly. The linear actuator is to move at least a portion of the plug linkage assembly along the first axis within the passageway to vary a flow of fluid through the passageway, wherein the stem of the linear actuator moves along a second axis different than the first axis.
