  • Patent number: 9781272
Abstract: Calls placed to a call recipient bypass the terminating messaging system, creating an enhanced message in the call originator's messaging system and delivering the enhanced message using alternate routing information. A caller creates enhanced messages for a call recipient even when the call recipient's messaging system does not support such functionality. The caller also embeds stored content and/or use links in the enhanced messages to allow the message to be modified and/or deleted before it is accessed by the call recipient.

  • Patent number: 9756994
Abstract: A portable foldable toilet seat overlay apparatus, foldable between a first position and a second position, deploys from a carry case to position atop an existing toilet set and prevent user contact therewith. The device includes a plurality of tractive members disposed perpendicularly projected from a bottom surface to frictionally engage with the toilet seat when the device is deployed in the first position. Each of the plurality of tractive members is arranged on the bottom surface so as to seat adjacently in contact with opposing portions of the bottom surface when the device is folded to the second position, without inhibiting movement of the device to the second position. In at least one embodiment the device is antimicrobial and, in another, biodegradable for single or limited use.

  • Publication number: 20170233195
Abstract: Embodiments provide an electric lug loader system. An electric lug loader may include a shaft assembly rotatably mounted to a frame that extends across a flow path. The shaft assembly may have shafts arranged radially around, and parallel to, the rotational axis of the shaft assembly, clamp members arranged along each of the shafts, support members arranged radially around the rotational axis and across the flow path, and electric drives coupled to the shafts. Conveyors may be coupled with the frame and spaced apart across the flow path upstream and/or downstream of the shaft assembly. Additional drives may be coupled with the shaft assembly and the conveyors. A controller may be configured to synchronize the drives to engage successive workpieces between the clamp members and the support members and deposit the workpieces onto a lugged conveyor. Other embodiments provide related methods and systems.

  • Publication number: 20170214898
Abstract: A scanning projector and method is provided that generates a feedback signal from at least one photodetector. In the scanning projector, a scanning mirror is configured to reflect laser light into an image region and an over scanned region. The at least one photodetector is configured to receive a portion of the reflected laser light impacting the over scanned region, and provides the feedback signal responsive to the received portion of light. This feedback signal can then be used to provide precise control of the scanning mirror.

  • Publication number: 20170195647
Abstract: Briefly, in accordance with one or more embodiments, a MEMS scanned beam projector includes a light source to emit a light beam, a scanning platform to redirect the light beam impinging on the platform, and a display controller to control the light source and the scanning platform to cause the scanning platform to scan the light beam in a vertical direction and a horizontal direction in a scan pattern to project an image onto a projection surface. The display controller is configured to correct for image distortion in the projected image by providing a compensated drive signal to the scanning platform to compensate for the image distortion.

  • Patent number: 9684075
Abstract: Laser light pulses are reflected off a scanning mirror. A time-of-flight distance measurement device receives reflected light pulses and determines distances. The light pulses have abrupt changes in amplitude. Reflected pulses are differentiated to reduce sensitivity to amplitude variations. Differentiated pulses may be compressed to keep the receiver from saturating. Distance measurements are combined with location information to produce a 3D image of a surface.

  • Patent number: 9672826
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for communicating information about transcription progress from a unified messaging (UM) server to a UM client. In one embodiment, the transcription progress describes speech to text transcription of speech messages such as voicemail. The UM server authenticates and establishes a session with a UM client, then receives a get message list request from a UM client as of a first time, responds to the get message list request with a view of a state of messages and available transcriptions for transcribable messages in a list of messages associated with the get message list call at the first time, and, at a second time subsequent to the first time, transmits to the UM client a notification that provides an indication of progress for at least one transcription not yet complete in the list of messages. The messages can include video.
