Publication number: 20240060297Abstract: A building facade system which comprises an anchor. The anchor having a flange extending in a first horizontal direction and serrations along a portion thereof. A vertical mullion being held in shear and secured by shear connection to the anchor to support horizontal members forming a frame for supporting a building facade panel. The shear connection formed by a fastener coupling the anchor to an outside lateral surface of the vertical mullion. The fastener extending in the second horizontal direction through the anchor and the vertical mullion. The angle member having first and second flanges having proximal ends joined together and opposing terminal ends. The second flange being engageable with the flange of the anchor by way of a vertically-oriented coupling securing the flange of the anchor and the angle member. The angle member being securable to a building floor slab and supporting the anchor thereon.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 30, 2023Publication date: February 22, 2024Inventors: James Jonathan White, Edward Mitry Coosaia, JR., Jason S. Patent number: 11834826Abstract: A building facade system which comprises a frame to support a building facade panel, a unified vertical shear blade anchor, a vertical mullion and an angled anchor member. The unified vertical shear blade anchor has a body portion and a flange extending horizontally therefrom. The flange has top and bottom surfaces with the bottom surface having serrations. The vertical mullion is secured by a shear connection to the vertical shear blade anchor. The shear connection between the vertical mullion and the vertical shear blade anchor is formed by a fastener which extends through side portions of the body portion and vertical mullion. The angle member has first and second flanges each having proximal ends joined together and opposing terminal ends. The second flange has a top surface with upwardly projecting serrations. The upwardly projecting serrations are configured for engagement with the downwardly projecting serrations of the vertical shear blade anchor.Type: GrantFiled: June 23, 2022Date of Patent: December 5, 2023Assignee: UBFS LLCInventors: James Jonathan White, Edward Mitry Coosaia, Jason S. Publication number: 20230340788Abstract: A building facade system is provided with a unified anchor assembly having an anchor member. The anchor member has a blade portion, an anchor fist and an anchor fork. The blade portion has a head at the proximal end, a lateral surface having serrations and a slotted opening. The anchor fist has a channel and a flange, the channel receives the head of the blade portion to slide within the channel. The anchor fork has tines defining a slot with an opening therebetween and a serrated surface to engage the serrations of the blade portion. Upon installation onto a building, the anchor fork is seated on an upwardly extending flange of a structural member affixed to a building floor slab. The anchor fist is secured to a vertical mullion by shear connection made by fasteners coupling the flange of the anchor fist to a lateral surface of the mullion.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 21, 2023Publication date: October 26, 2023Inventors: James Jonathan White, Edward Mitry Coosaia, Jr., Jason S.
