  • Publication number: 20240183470
Abstract: A fitting includes a first and second threaded fitting component and a conduit gripping device receivable within the first threaded fitting component. A stroke resisting member is integral with the first threaded fitting component and includes a web having a first radial thickness and extending axially inward from the first threaded fitting component to a distal ring portion having a second radial thickness greater than the first radial thickness. A radially extending bearing surface of the distal ring portion axially engages a radially extending portion of the second fitting component when the first and second fitting components are joined together to the first relative axial position. The stroke resisting member resists additional axial stroke of the first and second fitting components, such that a tightening torque beyond the first relative axial position is increased by the axial engagement.

  • Publication number: 20040188039
Abstract: A garage door reinforcement arrangement is provided for supporting and anchoring a garage door to a garage door opening. The reinforcement arrangement includes an I-post beam assembly, a top mounting bracket, a floor plate, and a plurality of cable assemblies. The top mounting bracket is used to secure the top end of the I-post beam against vertical movement. The floor plate is used for securing the bottom end of the I-post against vertical movement. The plurality of cable assemblies are disposed at different vertical positions of the I-post beam for securing the beam immediately adjacent to the garage door so that the garage door is allowed to flex slightly as wind loads are transferred to the beam.

  • Patent number: 5544941
Abstract: A foot rest is provided with a platform that can be vertically adjusted and tilted by the user using only their feet. The foot rest includes a base with a support, a tilt column that cooperates with a locking assembly, and a platform. The locking assembly can be actuated by the user's foot to vary the vertical height of the platform. The platform is slidably engaged to the tilt column to allow the user to vary the inclination of the platform from the horizontal independently of the vertical adjustment.
