  • Publication number: 20130102326
Abstract: A warning system for wireless mobile telephones that notifies designated users and broadcast an audible sound when suddenly de-acceleration. The telephone is coupled to a wireless telephone transmitter configured to operate with a nearby compatible wireless telephone network. The telephone includes a display, a speaker, an internal accelerometer and a programmable, impact-activated software program loaded into its working memory. The software program when executed continuously monitors for triggering signals from the internal accelerometer. When a triggering signal is produced, the software program is activated into an alarm state which then performs the notifications tasks designated by the user during the setup steps. The software program is configured to presents various input menus on the display that enables the user to turn the system ON and OFF, selective an alarm mode to be used, select a pre-alarm time period, an alarm duration period, and adjust the sensitivity of the accelerometer.

  • Publication number: 20100006659
Abstract: An inside and outside air return control system for a HVAC unit that includes an outside air conduit connected to the inside air return duct and a flap valve that selectively moves to control the delivery of inside air or outside air to the air return duct in the HVAC unit. The system also includes a programmable control panel connected to the HVAC unit's air conditioner or heat pump and to the furnace or air handler. The control panel is also connected to an inside thermometer and an outside thermometer. During operation, the control panel continuously monitors the air temperatures inside and outside the residence. During setup, a control temperature is selected in the control panel. The readings from the two thermometers are compared with the control temperature and used to control the movement of the flap valve so that the cooler air source is delivered to the air return duct.

  • Patent number: 7208932
Abstract: A voltage detector used to determine if an exposed or unexposed wire or terminal is “hot.” The voltage detector includes a low density EMF field detecting circuit and a high density EMF field detecting circuit each coupled to an indicator to inform the user that the “hot” wire or terminal is nearby. In the preferred embodiment, the voltage detector includes an LED flashlight that uses a voltage multiplying circuit that enables it to use a single AA or AAA battery. The voltage multiplying circuit raises the battery voltage from 1.5 volts to approximately 5 volts required to sufficiently energize the main LED. In the preferred embodiment, the LED's reflector acts as the sensor probe for detecting the presence of electric field densities.

  • Patent number: 7151433
Abstract: A combination LED flashlight and garage door opener transmitter with at least one LED disclosed that uses a voltage multiple circuit that enables the use of a single AA or AAA battery. The voltage multiple circuit raises the battery voltage from 1.5 volts to approximately 5 volts and then maintains it to energize the LED. The voltage multiple circuit is connected to the garage door opener transmitter.

  • Patent number: 6924605
Abstract: A combination electric field sensor and a flashlight with at least one main LED disclosed that uses a voltage multiple circuit that enables the use of a single AA or AAA battery. The voltage multiple circuit raises the battery voltage from 1.5 volts to approximately 5 volts required to sufficiently energize the main LED. The device includes a voltage detector circuit with a sensor probe which detects the presence of an electric field when the device is placed adjacent thereto and a second LED. The second LED is connected to the voltage detector circuit and designed to flash when placed against an electric field.

  • Patent number: 6793366
Abstract: A watertight, low power flashlight is disclosed that uses a voltage tripler and regulator that enables the use of a single AA or lithium battery. The voltage tripler is a “step-up power component” that raises the battery voltage from 1.5 volts to approximately 5 volts required to sufficiently energize the L.E.D.s. The flashlight also includes a lightweight, compact housing with an optional dimmer switch and a side-mounted on/off switch.

  • Patent number: 6791840
Abstract: An incandescent tube bulb replacement assembly that is used in place of a horizontal incandescent tube light in a standard interior horizontal tube light fixture. The assembly includes a small printed circuit board (PCB) with a plurality of LEDs mounted perpendicularly thereon. During installation, the existing horizontal incandescent tube is removed and replaced with an LED assembly so that the LEDs fit into the center of the reflector. Attached to the opposite sides of the PCB are two, upward extending conductor arms that snap-fit into the two existing end conductors. The PCB includes a lighting circuit that allows the assembly to connect without regard to the polarity.
