  • Patent number: 10626417
Abstract: A transgenic cat with a phenotype characterized by the substantial absence of the major cat allergen, Fel d I. The phenotype is conferred in the transgenic cat by disrupting the coding sequence of the target gene with a specialized construct. The phenotype of the transgenic cat is transmissible to its offspring.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 11, 2016
Date of Patent: April 21, 2020
Inventors: David B. Avner, James Kehler, Sven Bocklandt
  • Publication number: 20200008405
Abstract: A genetically modified cat produced through gene editing with a phenotype characterized by the substantial absence of the major cat allergen, Fel d I. The phenotype is conferred in the genetically modified cat by targeting either the gene sequence of the Fel d I locus or sequences flanking the coding sequence of the two contiguous Fel d I genes with specialized gene editing constructs. The genotype and phenotype of the genetically modified cat is transmissible to its offspring.

  • Patent number: 4275572
Abstract: A system for transmitting torque to a driven member from a drive shaft extending axially throughout the driven member which is itself of a tubular shape. The drive shaft is of a circular cylindrical configuration and at least one resilient spherical drive element is used to transmit torque between the drive shaft and the driven tubular member. The diameter of the resilient member is somewhat greater than the distance between the opposed surfaces of the drive shaft and the driven tubular member. A means is included on either or both the drive shaft and tubular member to retain the resilient member in a substantially fixed orbiting path and to retain it against longitudinal movement along the surfaces of the drive shaft and the driven tubular member.
