    Abstract: A method and apparatus for hazardous waste disposal whereby a high density polyethylene containment unit is used for immobilizing hazardous waste material. A method for macroencapsulation of hazardous waste material by butt fusion bonding end caps onto a high density containment unit to form an on site integral containment unit. The hazardous waste material, located in 55 gallon drums, is macroencapsulated in a containment unit made of entirely of high density polyethylene.
