Abstract: An accessory connector assembly comprises a connector housing (102, 104), an electrical connector (106) and a circuit substrate mounted horizontally within the connector housing, and an actuator (110). The electrical connector has a cantilevered latch member (124) which is used to engage a latch feature (504) of an accessory port (502) on a communication device (500). The electrical connector is connected to the circuit substrate, upon which circuit components (136) are disposed. The circuit substrate is connectable with an external cable (506). To release the accessory connector assembly from the communication device, the actuator is pressed downwards. Vertical cantilevered actuator arms are urged inwards against the cantilevered latch members to disengage them from the communication device.

Abstract: An electronic device (10) having a shielded housing (20) with an integrated light pipe (19 & 21) includes a substantially clear housing, a portion of which is arranged and constructed to form the integrated light pipe and plating (23), selectively applied to the substantially clear housing, to provide for effective electromagnetic interference shielding and to allow for sufficient light into the integrated light pipe.

Abstract: A front lighted liquid crystal display assembly (10) comprises a liquid crystal display (22) and a substantially clear lens (11) mounted above the liquid crystal display. The clear lens has a portion with a stair step configuration (18). The assembly further comprises a light pipe (14) integrally coupled to the substantially clear lens for substantially transmitting a light (12) through the light pipe and into and through the stair step configuration.

Abstract: A housing (10) comprises a first housing member (12) having a rib (14) about a substantial portion of the periphery of the first housing member, the rib being on at least two planes (22 and 24). A second housing member (30) having protrusions (32) on portions of the second housing member guides an O-ring (17) towards portions of the rib about the periphery of the first housing member. The O-ring placed on the rib of the first housing member aides in forming a radial seal when the second housing member is coupled to the first housing member.

Abstract: A register for regulating the flow of air toward an inner combustion region has a plurality of spaced and inwardly directed vanes affixed between two annular members. A plurality of spaced guide means peripherally disposed around the vanes, are mounted across the two annular members. A sleeve which is linearly movable upon the guide means enshrouds the vanes by a variable amount. By moving the sleeve, the inward flow of air past the vanes can be regulated.
