  • Publication number: 20240108466
Abstract: The present technology is a prosthetic heart valve device, and related systems and methods, for treating a native valve of a human heart having a native annulus and native leaflets. One embodiment comprises a valve support, a prosthetic valve assembly within the valve support, and an anchoring member having an upstream portion and a downstream portion. The device further includes an extension member coupled to the fixation frame and extending radially outward therefrom. The extension member includes a plurality of discrete fabric segments having a first end at the anchoring member and a second end spaced apart from the anchoring member, wherein each discrete fabric segment includes lateral edges extending from the first end to the second end of the discrete fabric segment. The discrete fabric segments are configured to move circumferentially relative to each other.

  • Publication number: 20230113135
Abstract: A method for generating a magnetic resonance imaging, MRI, image of a subject including applying a magnetic field B0 to the subject, applying a sequence of electromagnetic pulses to the subject, applying further magnetic field gradients in addition to the magnetic field B0, the magnetic field including first gradients and at least one second gradient; measuring signal echoes produced by the object in response to the electromagnetic pulses and the first and second magnetic field gradients; acquiring image data at a first spatial resolution from the signal echo produced by the object in response to the electromagnetic pulses and the first and second magnetic field gradients, and combining the image data acquired from signal echoes in order to produce at least one image of the object at a second spatial resolution.

  • Publication number: 20140261403
Abstract: A tracheal tube assembly includes an outer cannula configured to be positioned in a tracheal passageway and a first inner cannula configured to be disposed inside the outer cannula. The tracheal tube assembly further includes a flange member secured about the outer cannula, and a connector coupled to a proximal end of the outer cannula or of the first inner cannula. The outer cannula includes a length suitable for only minimally protruding outside of the tracheal passageway, if at all, to improve phonation.

  • Publication number: 20050071216
Abstract: An interactive network guide acts as a computer-based decision support aid for computer novices to design and build a network, such as for a home or small office environment. The guide presents a sequence of questions to gather input data from a user describing the user's computers and environment. The guide evaluates this input data and presents one or more suitable network topologies, which may include hybrid solutions. The guide then dynamically generates a network diagram, shopping list and setup instructions for the user's selection from the suitable network topologies.
