Patent number: 11967321Abstract: Implementations set forth herein relate to an automated assistant that can interact with applications that may not have been pre-configured for interfacing with the automated assistant. The automated assistant can identify content of an application interface of the application to determine synonymous terms that a user may speak when commanding the automated assistant to perform certain tasks. Speech processing operations employed by the automated assistant can be biased towards these synonymous terms when the user is accessing an application interface of the application. In some implementations, the synonymous terms can be identified in a responsive language of the automated assistant when the content of the application interface is being rendered in a different language. This can allow the automated assistant to operate as an interface between the user and certain applications that may not be rendering content in a native language of the user.Type: GrantFiled: November 30, 2021Date of Patent: April 23, 2024Assignee: GOOGLE LLCInventors: Joseph Lange, Abhanshu Sharma, Adam Coimbra, Gökhan Bakir, Gabriel Taubman, Ilya Firman, Jindong Chen, James Stout, Marcin Nowak-Przygodzki, Reed Enger, Thomas Weedon Hume, Vishwath Mohan, Jacek Szmigiel, Yunfan Jin, Kyle Pedersen, Gilles Baechler

Patent number: 8001004Abstract: A dynamic vertical network management system is adapted to broker, between each publisher of a group of publishers and each advertiser of a group of advertisers, the sale of at least a portion of the each publisher's inventory of advertisement impressions. At least a portion of the advertisers are clients of a dynamic vertical network operator (DVN) with the DVN purchasing inventory from the publisher and utilizing such purchased inventory to fulfill advertising orders placed by the client with the DVN (network orders). A publisher data store stores, for each publisher of the group of publishers, a group of segmented ad placements. Each segmented ad placement comprises: i) a placement ID identifying an advertisement placement region within a web page; and ii) at least one distinguishing traffic attribute parameter. An advertisement-order data store stores, for each segmented ad placement, a group of advertisement orders.Type: GrantFiled: July 30, 2008Date of Patent: August 16, 2011Assignee: Traffiq, Inc.Inventors: Robert Llewellyn Protheroe, Sung Hyun Shin, Wesley Edward Eugene Swogger, Mark Edward Kahn, Dean Craig Vegliante, Jay Phillip Hirschson, Jarod Reed Caporino, Daniel Jeffrey Ballister, Scott David Reinke, Christopher James Lange, Abhimanyu Chaudhuri, Mary Neshetia Targia, Elon Cohen, Sampath Kondam, Sudha Samrat Reddy Podduturi

Publication number: 20040113340Abstract: A sonic drilling head includes a spindle which is both rotated and vibrated at sonic frequency to effect ground penetration of members such as drill rods, etc. Two pairs of rotating eccentric masses are mounted in a sine generator housing. The pairs of masses have intersecting axis. A spiral bevel gear and drive shaft rotate the first pair of masses which engage the second pair of masses so that the pairs of masses are driven in opposite directions. Rotation is imparted to the spindle through a geared bearing isolated by a pack of precision disc springs, which also cooperate with a second set of precision disc springs to isolate the vibrations of the rotating eccentric masses from an outer housing of the sonic drill head.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 8, 2003Publication date: June 17, 2004Inventors: James Lange, Brian Smith

Patent number: 3938016Abstract: A manually shiftable actuator-position input member and an actuator-operator feedback member cooperate as switch means for controlling the operation of an actuator including a rod connected to be reciprocably driven by a reversible electric motor. The input and feedback members normally occupy neutral positions relative to each other wherein electrical current is disconnected from the motor. Energization of the motor to cause it to drive in the forward and reverse directions may respectively be accomplished by moving the input member in opposite first and second directions from its neutral position. The distance through which the input member is moved preselects the distance through which the motor drives the rod, the motor driving the feedback member via the rod such as to restore the neutral positions of the input and feedback members when the rod has been driven to the preselected position.Type: GrantFiled: September 18, 1974Date of Patent: February 10, 1976Assignee: Deere & CompanyInventors: Henry James Lange, Myron Lee McCunn, Martin Adolph Berk, Peter Jay Classen, David Thomas Allen
