  • Publication number: 20070253848
Abstract: A pump for efficiently producing gas in wells having some liquids. The pump may be driven by a walking beam or horsehead pump. The pump of the invention produces gases and liquids separately. Gases may be produced up the annulus between the casing and hollow sucker rods. A plunger seals the opening in the cage during downstroke. Gases and liquids are trapped in the cage above an inner barrel. Liquids are forced up the hollow sucker rod where they are retained by a one-way valve. On the upstroke, the one-way valve seats and gases are forced out of the cage and up the annulus. Gases are, therefore, produced up the annulus and liquids are produced up the drill string. In another embodiment, liquids are retained in a trap and are produced up hollow sucker rods, while gases are produced up the annulus between the hollow sucker rods and the casing.

  • Publication number: 20070001708
Abstract: A plurality of semiconductor devices are provided on a carrier for testing or burning-in. The carrier is then cut up to provide single chip-on-carrier components or multi-chip-on-carrier components. The carrier is used as a first level package for each chip. Thus, the carrier serves a dual purpose for test and burn-in and for packaging. A lead reduction mechanism, such as a built-in self-test engine, can be provided on each chip or on the carrier and is connected to contacts of the carrier for the testing and burn-in steps. The final package after cutting includes at least one known good die and may include an array of chips on the carrier, such as a SIMM or a DIMM. The final package can also be a stack of chips each mounted on a separate carrier. The carriers of the stack are connected to each other through a substrate mounted along a side face of the stack that is electrically connected to a line of pads along an edge of each carrier.

  • Patent number: 6560635
Abstract: A system and method for locally caching remote query replies in an electronic network comprises a local registry that performs a local query for a local software module to locate a target software element for a network messaging process. If the local query is unsuccessful, the local registry responsively creates a remote query based on the unsuccessful local query, and then broadcasts the remote query to remote registries across the electronic network. The local registry then evaluates the remote query replies and stores a remote element registration into a local cache for each successful remote query reply. The local software module may then locally identify those remote target software elements with which the local software module frequently communicates, to facilitate efficient network messaging processes.

  • Patent number: 6477573
Abstract: A system and method for performing a hierarchical remote query in an electronic network comprises a local registry that classifies remote registries into discrete categories based upon the relative capability of their host devices. The local registry then broadcasts a remote query to the discrete categories of remote registries in a hierarchical sequence. The present invention thus propagates the remote query in a sequence that produces optimal likelihood of a successful remote query reply, while simultaneously conserving network resources and minimizing messaging traffic across the electronic network.

  • Patent number: 5152018
Abstract: An inflatable body comprising an airtight envelope enclosing a core of batting material having tensile elements extending from an upper to lower surface thereof and having the upper and lower surfaces thereof bonded to the envelope. The process of making the body comprises first laying down two sheets of air impervious film with the core positioned therebetween. The tensile elements are bonded to the sheets. Simultaneously or separately from bonding to the core, the edges of the sheets are sealed together and a valve assembly is bonded between or inserted in one of the sheets to allow control of the air volume and pressure within the assembly.
