  • Patent number: 6006681
Abstract: A modular transaction station, comprising a frame; a monocoque counter assembly secured to the frame; and a pair of mounting sleeves extending about at least a portion of the periphery of the frame. The first mounting sleeve is secured to the frame, and the second mounting sleeve is securable to at least one of the frame and the first mounting sleeve, such that the transaction station may be secured within an opening in a wall with a portion of the wall bounding the opening positioned between the first and second mounting sleeves.

  • Patent number: 4841760
Abstract: A process for making a tube bend of a predetermined wall thickness from a length of straight tube comprises forming the straight tube to have a quasi-elliptical cross section and irregular wall thickness which has a maximum value on one side of the major axis of the quasi ellipse, expanding the quasi-elliptical tube to cause the wall thickness on the other side of the major axis to be reduced and bending the tube about an axis located on said other side of said major axis. Apparatus suitable for performing the process comprises a die (2) formed with an oblique inclined converging passage (3) of circular cross section at one end changing progressively to quasi-elliptical cross section at the other end and a curved mandrel (6) having a portion (8) which changes from quasi-elliptical cross section at the shank (7) to circular cross section at the curved portion (9).

  • Patent number: 4633932
Abstract: A method of casting or moulding an article having an internally screw-threaded hole comprises introducing casting or moulding material into a mould cavity around a core pin formed with segments of a screw thread separated by flutes and also around withdrawable flat core members projecting into the mould cavity with their leading ends fitting snugly into the flutes. The segments of screw thread form the male image of segments of the required female thread. When the casting or moulding material has set first the core members are withdrawn from the mould cavity then the core pin is rotated to bring the screw-threaded segments into the positions formerly occupied by the flutes and the pin is withdrawn axially from the mould cavity. Finally the article is removed from the mould cavity.

  • Patent number: 4409626
Abstract: A signal source continuously produces a horizontal timing signal proportional to the line rate of a recovered composite video signal. A vertical timing unit coupled to the source continuously produces a vertical timing signal proportional to the field rate of the video signal. An error detector processes data words present in the vertical interval of the composite video signal to provide a data status signal indicative of the validity of each processed data word. The data status signal is applied to the vertical timing unit for synchronizing the vertical timing signal with the vertical synchronizing component of the composite video signal and rendering the vertical timing signal substantially immune to noise which might accompany the composite video signal.

  • Patent number: 4372290
Abstract: A generally concave-shaped gas burner head is provided with circumferentially spaced means on the periphery of top and bottom portions for enabling water accumulated therein due to condensation of water vapor to flow out of the burner head without interfering with the burner flame at outlet ports on the periphery of the burner head. In one embodiment, the burner head is provided with a plurality of openings in a peripheral portion of the top portion which cooperate with a plurality of grooves in a downwardly sloping peripheral portion of the bottom portion. In another embodiment, a plurality of tabs in a peripheral portion of the top portion cooperate with a plurality of arcuate openings in a generally flat peripheral portion of the bottom portion.
