Abstract: A safety fishhook which substantially prevents skin punctures is formed from a wire and includes a first end adapted for attachment to a line, a shank adjacent to the first end, and a curved bend extending from the shank to a free end, the curved bend defining partially enclosing a planar area, and the free end terminating within the area and being oriented at a safe angle with respect to a line bounding the curved bend and the first end.

Abstract: A support shelf adapted for attachment to a crutch, the crutch including a pair of spaced, opposed downwardly converging rods, the support shelf including a member having a generally flat top surface and a peripheral edge portion extending therearound, the member including a pair of grooves extending inwardly from the spaced oppositely facing portions of the peripheral edge, the grooves being adapted for cooperatively receiving the downwardly converging rods of the crutch for wedging the member between the rods to hold the member with the top surface thereof in a generally horizontal orientation when the rods are in a generally upstanding orientation, the member optionally being of two piece construction for clamping to the rods, and further optionally being of hinged construction for movement between a deployed position and a stored position.

Abstract: A device for cleaning soiled health care instrument having bristles carried by a tubularly bent flexible panel within a tubular container. The container has opposite ends one of which is enclosed and the opposite of which permits cleansing entry of instruments into the container. Said opposite end may have a self-sealing door entrance for projection therethrough of the instruments to be cleaned. Protection is provided against injury from exposed sharp edges of the instruments be cleaned. Liquid cleaning simultaneously with the bristle cleansing is provided. Aerosolization preventing suction may be associated with the container.

Abstract: A column base assembly for erecting temporary column structures, a base assembly held firmly in place by a vehicular tire resting thereon. The base assembly provides an easily erected column structure usable in a variety situations where a temporary structure can be erected near to a parked vehicle, such as signs, lights, sheds, tents or awnings. The base assembly provides a vertical receiving tube for holding a column, and a horizontal receiving tube attached to the vertical receiving tube for holding a beam. The column and beam can be used in cooperation to hold signage or other accessories. The base assembly provides a sturdy and stable column base erectable on hard surfaces, eliminating the need for staking.

Abstract: A paint brush or like structure, and method of making the same, in which bristles having a back binding the bristles into a permanent format are mounted on a handle and quick replaceably retained thereon with the bristles projecting usefully from the handle. The brush may be used by manipulating the handle, and the bristles can be readily removed and replaced. When removed, the bristles can be efficiently cleaned. The bristles and back can be supplied in a tape-like preformed strip from which the user can cut selected width panels for making up paint brushes of desired sizes and bristles density.

Abstract: An improved four-way socket wrench includes elongated socket members having a lower tubular portion connected between a socket head portion and a cross bar member, the lower tubular portion having an axial bore therein that is in communication with the socket opening of the socket member. Rigid implements can be inserted into the socket member so as to impart increased leverage thereto so as to, in turn, impart increased rotational torques to a nut being tightened or loosened.

Abstract: A fireplace tool comprising an elongated rod member having a handle grip on one end and a pointed poker formed on the other end and including a plurality of four-sided chisel members extending through the elongated rod at a portion near the poker end. Each chisel member includes a plurality of teeth formed along each edge defined by the four sides thereof. The teeth are formed by cut-outs in each edge. The chisel members are spaced approximately one-half inch apart and are aligned along the line axis of the elongated rod member. Further, the chisel members protrude either in equal amounts through the elongated rod member, or, in progressively increasing amounts commencing from the poker end.
