  • Patent number: 11565823
Abstract: A system and method of converting engines on a turboprop aircraft, including removing an existing engine and associated propeller from an aircraft fuselage, installing an engine mount adapter assembly to the fuselage, and installing a replacement engine to the engine mount adapter assembly, whereby at least some portions of the replacement engine are attached to the engine mount adapter assembly for structural support.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 11535388
Abstract: An aircraft engine mounting system to retrofit an aircraft engine from one aircraft type to another in a manner suitable for approved flight. The system includes a circular member having longitudinal securement members extending therefrom to attach the circular member to an inner surface of the fuselage of an aircraft. The circular member in turn has mounting members configured to receive an aircraft engine to retrofit the engine from a first aircraft to a second aircraft.

  • Publication number: 20040213010
Abstract: An automotive headlamp assembly comprises a reflector positioned within a housing. The reflector defines a lamp cavity where a light source is positioned. The reflector includes a first portion designed to reflect light in a low beam pattern and a second portion designed to reflect light in a high beam pattern. An actuator is also positioned within the lamp cavity. The actuator is operable to move a light shield in a linear direction parallel to the optical axis of the reflector. In particular, the actuator is operable to move the light shield between a low beam position that exposes the light source to the first portion of the reflector and a high beam position that exposes the light source to both the first portion and the second portion of the reflector.

  • Patent number: 5291376
Abstract: Circuit board terminals suitable for coupling high voltage, high current wires, such as 240 volts, 50 amps, to a circuit board is shown in which for each wire a block 24 of electrically conductive material is formed with a pair of ribs 48, 50 which interfit with a corresponding pair of slots 54, 56 in the circuit board 12. A bore 40 formed through the block from one sidewall to an opposed sidewall is adapted to receive the high voltage, high current wire which is clamped against the block by a set screw 44 received in a threaded bore 42 which communicates with the bore extending between the sidewalls. Another threaded member 60 is received through a bore 58 in the circuit board disposed between the two slots and into a threaded bore 62 in the bottom of the block disposed on one side of the circuit board with the head 62 of the threaded member engaging the high voltage, high current trace 22 or 14 on the opposite side of the circuit board. A layer of solder 68 is then placed over the head and onto the trace.

  • Patent number: 4121074
Abstract: A pressure responsive electrical switch uses precalibrated snap acting monometallic or bimetallic discs freely disposed in a disc seat formed on a base member. Over pressure protection in the form of a surface spaced just beyond the normal snapped position may be provided to avoid calibration changes. A flexible thin gasket is positioned over the disc and is sealed to the base by trapping between the base and a cap which is clamped to the base. Several seal variations are shown to provide varying degrees and types of seals. A rocker member having a specially curved surface rests on a movable contact arm and transfers motion from the disc to the movable arm. A support for the movable arm has a portion which is formed with a complementary curved portion which cooperates with the rocker member and a stationary contact to limit the amount of stress imparted to the movable contact arm.
