Abstract: A cochlear implant including a cochlear lead, an antenna, a stimulation processor, and a magnet apparatus, associated with the antenna, including a case defining a central axis, a magnet frame within the case and rotatable about the central axis of the case, and a plurality of elongate diametrically magnetized magnets that are located in the magnet frame, the magnets defining a longitudinal axis and a N-S direction and being freely rotatable about the longitudinal axis relative to the magnet frame.

Abstract: A computer based method, system and computer program product to assign a quality metric to an airspace design and optionally to compare it against design metrics, to determine a comparative quality metric. Factors contributing to quality of the airspace sector design are identified via user input and quantified to calculate a quality metric for the airspace sector design as a function of the quantified factors. Categories for each of the identified factors, and parameters for each of the identified categories are also identified via user input. Each parameter has an associated weight and a range of thresholds with associated multipliers. An associated multiplier from the range of thresholds for each identified parameter is also identified. The identified multiplier is multiplied with the associated weight for each identified parameter. The products for each identified parameter are then summed to obtain a quality metric.

Abstract: Baseball batters are protected from injury to their foot and calf from foul tips by a protector using a integral pad, body of cushioning material which extends from the calf over the foot and has a neck portion which is flexible and provides a hinge so that the protector does not interfere, when the batter must run the bases. Rigid plates over the cushioning material cover the upper and lower sections of the pad on opposite sides of the neck. Straps are connected to these rigid members and are used to secure the protector to the calf and foot area of the batter.
