  • Patent number: 11955207
Abstract: The disclosure provides systems and methods for data analysis of experimental data. The analysis can include reference data that are not directly generated from the present experiment, which reference data may be values of the experimental parameters that were either provided by a user, computed by the system with input from a user, or computed by the system without using any input from a user. Another example of such reference data may be information about the instrument, such as the calibration method of the instrument.

  • Patent number: 5470040
Abstract: An apparatus for positioning a pointing device relative to a computer is either free-standing relative to the computer or releasably attached to the computer by a clamp. Buttons for moving the clamp jaw of the clamp from a home position to an extended position for attaching the attachment housing to the computer itself are ergonomically positioned. A hinge and clutch spring are disposed between the apparatus and the pointing device for unlimited pivotable positioning of the pointing device within a 90.degree. range for selected user positioning.

  • Patent number: 5407324
Abstract: An axial flow cooling fan includes a rectangular housing base portion and a plurality of rectangular plate members, all having corner portions and central circular air flow openings. The plate members have corner openings and integral hollow cylindrical spacer members formed on side surfaces of their corner portions and aligned with their corner openings. To construct the housing subassembly the base portion post members are sequentially inserted through the corner openings of each plate member. Resilient finger structures on the outer ends of the post members create a snap-fitted locking engagement with the outermost plate member and anchor the plate members in a stacked, parallel relationship in which the installed plate members are held apart by their integral spacer portions to create side air inlet openings on the subassembly at edge portions of the stacked plate members. The housing base portion has a motor-driven impeller section operatively supported within its central air flow opening.

  • Patent number: 5307351
Abstract: Data communication apparatus (DCA) receives digital data from data terminal apparatus (DTA) and transmits the digital data assembled in the form of frames over a communication medium. Included in the DCA is apparatus for adjusting the length of the data frames being assembled based on a determined degree of impairment of the communication medium. A corresponding method of adjusting the length of the data frames in the data communication apparatus is also included.

  • Patent number: 5005623
Abstract: A flexible, waterproof, lightweight compact cover for the top of a golf bag and for golf clubs having a first end and a second end. The first end is snugly secured about the top of the golf bag with fasteners. The first end has at least one slit therein which is received by a ring on the top of the bag preventing rotation of the cover circumferentially about the top of the bag. The second end of the bag extends outwardly from the bag covering the golf clubs and the top of the golf bag. The second end of the cover is folded back and fastened to the first end of the cover. To gain access to the golf club, the second end of the cover is lifted and the golfer may reach in to remove the golf club while still preventing rain from entering the top of the golf bag. The second end of the cover may be rolled downwardly to form a collar about the top of the golf bag and, when so disposed, the cover may be unrolled rapidly to protect the top of the golf bag and golf clubs from rain and inclement weather.
