  • Patent number: 11129325
Abstract: An endless seed delivery belt includes an inner surface, and an undulating outer surface. The undulating outer surface defines a plurality of alternating, and regularly-spaced peaks and troughs where each peak corresponds to a flight and each space between adjacent peaks defines a cavity that is generally sized and shaped to accommodate one seed. In some implementations, the endless seed delivery belt has a seed ejector between each pair of adjacent flights.

  • Patent number: 9700133
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a flexible belt brush from a flexible brush element is disclosed. The axis of a cylindrical winding drum is aligned with a cylindrical winding base axis. A bottom winding of the flexible brush element is formed around the winding drum with the flexible brush element base adjacent to a winding drum outer surface and the flexible brush element surface disposed against the winding base. A winding ring is center aligned with the winding base and placed over the bottom winding. A top winding of the flexible brush element is formed around the winding drum adjacent to the winding ring. A compression ring is placed above the top winding. The winding bases are welded to form the base of the flexible belt brush.

  • Patent number: 9565925
Abstract: A flexible strip brush element is constructed from multiple monofiliments arranged in a parallel fashion and attached at one end to a flexible base. The monofiliments are attached to the base by intermingling material from the base with material from the monofiliments. The free ends of the monofiliments collectively form a bristle end zone. A plurality of flexible strip brush elements may be bonded side-by-side so the free ends of the monofiliments form a common bristle end zone. The bonded flexible strip brush elements may take the form of a linear section or may be fashioned into an endless loop or jointless spiral.

  • Patent number: 9146171
Abstract: A method of calibrating an electronic wheel balancer includes mounting a calibration wheel on the balancer shaft, the calibration wheel including mounting pins configured to engage mounting holes on a face plate. The balancer emits a visible towards the calibration wheel, the beam indicating a home position for an inner plane calibration weight on the calibration wheel. The calibration wheel is rotated to the home position and an inner weight plane calibration weight is attached to the calibration wheel. The balancer shaft is automatically rotated to obtain sensor data from force transducers on the balancer. Using the sensor data, the balancer automatically calculates and stores inner weight plane reference data. The motor shaft is stopped and the inner plane calibration weight is moved to an outer weight plane position on the calibration wheel.

  • Publication number: 20150114110
Abstract: An apparatus for a wheel service machine includes a body having an axis and a aperture through the axis, the aperture shaped to receive a rotary shaft, a first chamber and a second chamber located in the body, a pneumatic inlet communicated with the second chamber, the pneumatic inlet configured to be couple to a pneumatic supply line. A piston is movably disposed in the first chamber between a retracted and an extended position, the piston moving from the retracted position to the extended position when pressure from the second chamber is supplied to the first chamber. A valve is positioned between the first and second chambers, the valve selectively communicating the first and second chambers. A wheel service apparatus includes a base, a motor configured to rotate a rotary shaft, and a pneumatic nut. A docking station for the pneumatic nut can be located on the base.

  • Publication number: 20150101734
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a flexible strip brush element is disclosed. A multiplicity of thermoplastic monofilaments respectively having first ends and second ends are arranged in substantially parallel fashion and at a prescribed density. Heat is applied to the first ends of the monofilaments so as to melt the first ends of the monofilaments. The monofilaments are transported toward an extrusion die comprising an outlet. Molten thermoplastic resin is extruded from an extrusion die outlet, wherein the outlet is shaped to produce a base having a top and a bottom. The first ends of the monofilaments are brought into physical contact with the top of the base as the base emerges from the extrusion die outlet. The monofilaments and the base are cooled so that the first ends of the monofilaments are fused to the top of the base and the second ends of the monofilaments are free.

  • Patent number: 9004496
Abstract: A cover for the gap in an automobile automatic gear shift assembly is presented. The gap cover is formed from a single molded housing with inward pointing fibrillations. These fibrillations act as fingers to cover the hole created when the multi position mechanism is moved from one position to another. The fibrillations are assisted back to their original position through (1) physical properties of the advanced polymeric substance used to mold the housing and (2) through the interactions of assisting tabs formed on the back side of the fibrillations, which act as springs.

  • Patent number: 8790228
Abstract: A stripper roller for use in a stripper unit subassembly is disclosed to simplify changing and replacement of parts. Brushes and batts are mounted in interlocking core segments that rotate in rigid accompaniment with a center shaft. The core segments are secured together and secured to the center shaft using retainer caps, and the retainer caps in turn are secured to the shaft to prevent lateral sliding of the stripper roller. Individual batts and brushes may be inserted into or removed from a reusable core segment, or the individual batts and brushes may be integrally affixed to replaceable core segments.
